Con el rescate de la hija de almendra como plato para servir el chancho con yuca, el maestro Juan de la Torre Martinez gano en Siuna el concurso municipal gastronómico sabores de mi patria realizado en la plaza de ferias Héroes y Mártires de la Rampla en Siuna, Caribe Norte.

El segundo lugar fue para el mesto Baudilio Miguel Lino, quien llevo un plato indígena Mayangna llamado dikuruhna, que se elabora a mase de maíz y pollo, antes la carne que utilizaban era de chancho de monte, guardiola, pavón, o gallina de monte, el cual es rico en vitaminas para fortalecer la salud de las personas.

El tercer lugar fue para la joven Josefa Henry Ingram que llevó el plato chacho frito con gallopinto con coco, y adornado con una copa de vino de flor de jamaica, con el cual concluye le concurso municipal en Siuna y el ganador ahora se prepara para participar en el concurso departamental a realizarse en Rosita el próximo 7 de octubre.

Tras haber sido declarado como ganador del concurso Juan de la Torres, dijo que esta muy contento y emocionado ya que el año pasado participo con el mismo plato y gano el segundo lugar, ahora logro ganar el primero lugar.

De la Torre Martinez, dijo que su trabajo con el cual gano el concurso será compartido con su colega de labores Uriel Velásquez quien tuvo una gran pérdida con el incendio de su casa en el barrio Gilberto Romero en Siuna.

Por su parte Guillermo Antonio Ríos Palacios, delegado del INTUR en Siuna dijo que estos concursos se realizan para promocionar la gastronómica de nuestros pueblos y la gastronomía de los ancestros.

En tanto Joel Montenegro Lanzas coordinador departamental de economía creativa dijo que estos concursos fortalecen la gastronomía de nuestra región y los protagonistas pueden mejorar y fortalecer sus productos y comercializarlos mejor.

With the rescue of the daughter of almond as a dish to serve the pork with yuca, teacher Juan de la Torre Martinez won in Siuna the municipal gastronomic contest flavors of my country held in the Héroes y Mártires de la Rampla fairground in Siuna, Northern Caribbean.

The second place went to the mesto Baudilio Miguel Lino, who brought an indigenous Mayangna dish called dikuruhna, which is made with corn and chicken mase, before the meat they used was wild pig, guardiola, pavón, or wild chicken, which is rich in vitamins to strengthen people’s health.

Third place went to the young Josefa Henry Ingram who brought the fried chacho dish with gallopinto with coconut, and decorated with a glass of hibiscus flower wine, with which the municipal contest in Siuna concludes and the winner is now preparing to participate in the departmental contest to be held in Rosita on October 7.

After being declared the winner of the Juan de la Torres contest, he said that he is very happy and excited since last year he participated with the same dish and won second place, now he managed to win first place.

De la Torre Martinez said that his work with which he won the contest will be shared with his colleague Uriel Velásquez who had a great loss with the fire of his house in the Gilberto Romero neighborhood in Siuna.

For his part, Guillermo Antonio Ríos Palacios, INTUR delegate in Siuna, said that these contests are held to promote the gastronomy of our towns and the gastronomy of our ancestors.

Meanwhile, Joel Montenegro Lanzas, departmental coordinator of creative economy, said that these contests strengthen the gastronomy of our region and the protagonists can improve and strengthen their products and market them better.
