Fuerza Naval ocupa y libera tortugas en el Caribe
El Ejercito de Nicaragua por medio del Distrito Naval del Caribe y la fuerza naval ocuparon tortugas verdes a una embarcación de Tasba Pouni en Laguna Perlas, informo el Distrito Naval del Caribe en una nota de prensa.
Las autoridades el Distrito Naval del Caribe informaron que el 24 de octubre de 2020, en cumplimiento al Plan de Protección de los Recursos Naturales y el Ambiente, efectivos militares del Distrito Naval Caribe de la Fuerza Naval del Ejército de Nicaragua, realizaron sondeo rutinario a la panga de nombre “Princess Ashlee”, con 3 tripulantes a bordo, todos de nacionalidad nicaragüense en la comunidad de Tasbapounie, municipio de Laguna de Perlas, Región Autónoma de la Costa Caribe Sur.
En la inspección fueron ocuparon 12 tortugas verdes “Chelonia Mydas”, por no tener autorización para dedicarse a la pesca de esta especie marina. Posteriormente las tortugas verdes fueron liberadas en su hábitat natural.
Durante la liberación, se emplearon 5 efectivos militares y 1 lancha auxiliar.
La Fuerza Naval del Ejército de Nicaragua, tiene entre sus deberes velar por la protección y preservación del ambiente y los recursos naturales, por lo que se les hace un llamado a las personas vinculadas al aprovechamiento de la tortuga verde, a respetar las regulaciones establecidas.
Naval Force occupies and releases turtles in the Caribbean
The Nicaraguan Army through the Caribbean Naval District and the naval force occupied green turtles from a Tasba Pouni vessel in Laguna Perlas, the Caribbean Naval District reported in a press release.
The authorities of the Caribbean Naval District reported that on October 24, 2020, in compliance with the Plan for the Protection of Natural Resources and the Environment, military personnel from the Caribbean Naval District of the Nicaraguan Army Naval Force conducted a routine survey of the Panga named “Princess Ashlee”, with 3 crew members on board, all of Nicaraguan nationality in the community of Tasbapounie, municipality of Laguna de Perlas, Autonomous Region of the South Caribbean Coast.
During the inspection, 12 “Chelonia Mydas” green turtles were occupied, for not having authorization to engage in fishing for this marine species. Later the green turtles were released into their natural habitat.
During the liberation, 5 military personnel and 1 auxiliary boat were used.
The Naval Force of the Nicaraguan Army has among its duties to ensure the protection and preservation of the environment and natural resources, for which a call is made to people linked to the use of the green turtle, to respect the established regulations.

Las autoridades del Distrito Naval Atl ntico (DNA) regresaron al Mar Caribe unas 25 tortugas verdes decomisadas a pescadores miskitos, originarios de Puerto Cabezas, Regi n Aut noma del Atl ntico Norte (RAAN), luego que se las decomisaran cuando las quisieron comercializar en territorios del Atl ntico Sur.
