Caribe Norte ya está incorporado al interconectado eléctrico nacional
La línea de transmisión eléctrica Siuna-Rosita-Bilwi en 138 kilovatios, que comprende una red de 208 kilómetros fue activada y ya es parte del interconectado eléctrico nacional informaron este sábado fuentes del sector.
El Empresa Nacional de Transmisión Eléctrica (ENATREL) explicó que la red está conectada desde Siuna hasta la nueva subestación Bilwi, con lo cual se une por primera vez en la historia de nuestro país el Caribe Norte con este sistema eléctrico.
Para este fin se construyeron 2 nuevas subestaciones en Rosita y Bilwi, se ampliaron las que están en Mulukukú y Siuna y se instalaron 70 kilómetros de fibra óptica.
En una nota de prensa, ENATREL señala que se construyó una red de distribución de 166.5 kilómetros para atender al municipio de Waspam.
A mediados de los años 80, Bilwi y Waspam, recibían el suministro eléctrico por medio de sistemas aislados a base de combustible: Búnker (Bilwi) y diésel (Waspam), que representan altos costos. Y en Rosita recibían el servicio por pocas horas del día.
ENATREL asegura que con el interconectado se suministra energía confiable y segura a quienes tienen el servicio y próximamente se electrificaran más comunidades en Rosita, Bonanza, Bilwi y zonas aledañas, que contribuirá a fomentar la inversión en el turismo y actividades productivas, asimismo se disminuye el uso de combustibles fósiles, por consiguiente, se evitan daños ambientales.
En la nota también se informa que se logró brindar energía a 3 bombas de agua que abastecen Bilwi y Waspam, así como a la planta de tratamiento o purificación ubicada en la comunidad Kuakuil.
Con estas obras se beneficia a 157,566 habitantes y la inversión asciende a 51.99 millones, provenientes de fondos del Tesoro de la República, de ENATREL y Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID).
Caribe Norte is already incorporated into the national electricity grid
The 138-kilowatt Siuna-Rosita-Bilwi electric transmission line, which comprises a 208-kilometer network, was activated and is already part of the national electricity grid, sources from the sector reported this Saturday.
The National Electricity Transmission Company (ENATREL) explained that the network is connected from Siuna to the new Bilwi substation, thereby joining the North Caribbean with this electrical system for the first time in the history of our country.
For this purpose, 2 new substations were built in Rosita and Bilwi, those in Mulukukú and Siuna were expanded and 70 kilometers of fiber optics were installed.
In a press release, ENATREL indicates that a 166.5-kilometer distribution network was built to serve the municipality of Waspam.
In the mid-1980s, Bilwi and Waspam received their electricity supply through isolated fuel-based systems: Bunker (Bilwi) and diesel (Waspam), which represent high costs. And in Rosita they received the service for a few hours a day.
ENATREL ensures that with the interconnection, reliable and safe energy is supplied to those who have the service and soon more communities will be electrified in Rosita, Bonanza, Bilwi and surrounding areas, which will contribute to promoting investment in tourism and productive activities, also decreasing the use of fossil fuels, therefore, environmental damage is avoided.
The note also reports that it was possible to provide power to 3 water pumps that supply Bilwi and Waspam, as well as the treatment or purification plant located in the Kuakuil community.
With these works, 157,566 inhabitants benefit and the investment amounts to 51.99 million, from funds from the Treasury of the Republic, ENATREL and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
