Listo plan de vacunación para adolescentes y niños de 2 a 17 años
A partir del 20 de octubre el Ministerio de Salud (MINSA), iniciará el plan especial de vacunación contra el Covid-19 a niños y adolescentes de 2 hasta 17 años de edad, informó este sábado la vicepresidenta Rosario Murillo.
La vacunas que serían aplicadas son Abdalá y la Soberana, elaboradas en Cuba, manifestó la dirigente.
Explicó que serían tres dosis las que se aplicarían y se empezará a trabajar en cuanto llegue la primera entrega.
“Los padres de familia que deseen vacunar a sus hijos entre los 2 y los 17 años puedan hacerlo, como sabemos, aquí es voluntario, los que deseen, los que quieran puedan hacerlo, cuando están aquí ya las vacunas, que como decimos el compromiso es alrededor del 20 este mes de octubre, se van a dar a conocer el programa de aplicación, los lugares, y los padres tienen que llevar a sus hijos, la familia es la que decide aplicar las vacunas a sus muchachitos entre los 2 y los 17 años”, dijo la dirigente.
En este sentido, Rosario expresó que se habla de un universo de 2 millones 102 mil 366 niños y adolescentes que se vacunarán en dependencia de la decisión que tomen los padres de familia.
Murillo aseguró que también se avanza en los programas de vacunación que se están desarrollando y que se espera cubrir muy pronto a las personas que tienen 18 años en adelante, en dependencia que lleguen las vacunas que están comprometidas a través del Mecanismo Covad.
“Estamos garantizando que tanto a través de la OPS, OMS, Mecanismo Covad, se reciban las vacunas que con generosidad se ha dispuesto en calidad de donación para nuestra Nicaragua, para las familias nicaragüenses que van con tanta responsabilidad, con tanto ánimo, con tanto optimismo a aplicarse sus vacunas de manera voluntaria, porque aquí no hay nada obligatorio, es voluntario”, reiteró la vicepresidenta.

Murillo assured that progress is also being made in the vaccination programs that are being developed and that it is expected to cover very soon people who are 18 years of age and older, depending on the arrival of the vaccines that are committed through the Covad Mechanism.
“We are guaranteeing that both through PAHO, WHO, Covad Mechanism, the vaccines that have been generously provided as donations for our Nicaragua are received, for the Nicaraguan families who go with so much responsibility, with so much courage, with so much optimism to apply their vaccines voluntarily, because here there is nothing mandatory, it is voluntary ”, reiterated the vice president.
