Realizan pruebas para producir vacunas contra Covid-19 en Nicaragua
El laboratorio ruso Mechnikov en Managua inició las etapas de pruebas para la producción de vacunas contra el Coronavirus informó este miércoles Laureano Ortega, Asesor Presidencial para las Inversiones.
Explicó que esto se hace con el apoyo conjunto del Laboratorio Mechnikov y el Instituto Chumakov, en Rusia, con lo cual se producirá la vacuna CoviVac.
“A partir del día de hoy que se está recibiendo la materia prima para este producto, van a empezar los períodos de pruebas, todos los trabajos de laboratorio en el Instituto Mechnikov. Y esperamos ya el próximo año la administración de esta vacuna a la población nicaragüense”, dijo Ortega.
“Venimos trabajando con el instituto Méchnikov, con el instituto Gamaleya para el suministro de la vacuna Sputnik V, Sputnik Light con el Fondo de Inversión Directa de Rusia y ahora con el instituto Chumakov de Rusia para poder traer está vacuna a Nicaragua y poder producirla no solo para Nicaragua sino también para los hermanos de la región Centroamericana y Latinoamérica”, afirmó.

He explained that this is done with the joint support of the Mechnikov Laboratory and the Chumakov Institute, in Russia, which will produce the CoviVac vaccine.
“Starting today, when the raw material for this product is being received, the test periods will begin, all the laboratory work at the Mechnikov Institute. And we look forward to the administration of this vaccine to the Nicaraguan population next year, ”said Ortega.
“We have been working with the Mechnikov Institute, with the Gamaleya Institute for the supply of the Sputnik V vaccine, Sputnik Light with the Direct Investment Fund of Russia and now with the Chumakov Institute of Russia to be able to bring this vaccine to Nicaragua and be able to produce it no only for Nicaragua but also for the brothers of the Central American region and Latin America ”, he affirmed.
