Bóer a ley de uno, Dantos buscan forzar el séptimo

El sexto juego de la serie final del Campeonato German Pomares 2020 entre Dantos e Indios del Bóer se disputará este viernes 14 de agosto a las 6 de la tarde en el Estadio Nacional Dennis Martínez.
La serie se encuentra 3-2 a favor del Bóer que se encuentra a solamente 1 victoria de apoderarse del título número 11 de la franquicia desde 1970 que lo mantendría como el segundo equipo más ganador solo detrás de León y le convertiría en el primer tricampeón de la nueva etapa de los Pomares (desde 2009)
Para “La Tribu” sería poner fin a la mala racha de finales perdidas ante los Dantos después de los descalabros sufridos en 1987, 2016 y 2018 en las que ha sido dominado por el poderío de la “Maquinaria Roja.”
Por su parte los Dantos buscarán por tercera vez en su historia forzar un séptimo y decisivo juego por el campeonato.
Desde 1974 cuando las series finales dejaron de ser series entre 4 equipos para ser disputada solamente por 2, un total de 20 finales han necesitado del máximo de juegos para definir al Campeón, y en 2 de ellas los Dantos han sido protagonistas.
En la temporada de 1988 los Dantos de Omar Cisneros se vieron con la soga al cuello ante la Costa Caribe de Davis Hodgson que les tomó ventaja 3-1. La maquinaria roja derrotó 11×7 a la Costa Caribe en el quinto juego en Bluefields para poner la serie 3-2 y en Managua con nocauts consecutivos 15×5 y 14×4 se encargaron de culminar la remontada.
Después de ser víctimas del León de Noel Áreas en la final de 1990 que les arrebató el título después de estar en ventaja 3-0, los Dantos volvieron a dar muestra de su garra ante el Chinandega en 1991 para quedarse con la corona.
Nuevamente se vieron en desventaja 1-3 esta vez ante el Chinandega de Argelio Córdova. Ganaron el quinto juego en Chinandega 12-1 (KO) y luego se encargaron de derrotar a los occidentales en los juegos 6 y 7 disputados en Managua con marcadores 13×6 y 15×5 (KO) para dar por finalizada su segunda remontada.
SAN FERNANDO Y LEÓN REMONTARON AL BÓER
El Bóer por su parte en par de ocasiones ha perdido el título luego de estar arriba en la serie 3-1 o 3-2. En 1992 tomó ventaja 3-1 sobre el San Fernando, pero las Fieras le ganaron en fila los juegos 5,6,7 para arrebatarles el campeonato, 7×6, 11×6 y 19×5 (KO)
En 1997 fueron despojados del título por León. El Bóer inició la serie 0-2 abajo, pero se encargó de ganaron los juegos 3,4 y 5 para tomar ventaja de 3-2. Sin embargo, los metropolitanos les derrotaron en los juegos 6 y 7, primero dejándoles tendidos 12×11 en el sexto juego y caerían 6×3 en el séptimo y decisivo.
De las 20 series finales que se han disputados en el máximo de juegos, 14 de ellas las ha terminado ganando el equipo que forzó el último compromiso, dado que en 1978 Granada forzó el noveno juego de la serie ante Estelí la cual era una final programada al primero que ganara cinco.
El último campeón que llevó al máximo de juegos su serie fue el Frente Sur Rivas en 2017 ante León. En la nueva etapa de los Pomares solamente tres equipos han forzado el séptimo juego de la Serie Final: Estelí ante Granada en 2009, Bóer ante Matagalpa en 2012 y Rivas ante León en 2017
ROGER MARIN VS JUNIOR TELLEZ
Roger Marín (Bóer) y Junior Téllez (Dantos) son los abridores programados para este encuentro. Marín tiene balance de 0-1 en la actual final donde transitó en el tercer encuentro 4 innings de 5 carreras de ellas 2 limpias. Téllez por su parte en 2 juegos (1 relevo y 1 apertura) tiene balance de 1-0, dicho juego lo ganó frente a Marín, recibe 2 carreras limpias en 11 episodios.
La de este viernes será la apertura número 14 de Marín en series finales desde 2009, ha disputado 16 juegos en series finales, tiene balance de 2-6 y lanza para 4.07 de efectividad. Por su parte para Téllez será su apertura número 5 en finales, registra un total de 13 encuentros disputados, 2 salvamentos y efectividad de 2.64.
Boer to law of one, Dantos seek to force the seventh
The sixth game of the final series of the 2020 German Pomares Championship between Dantos and Indios del Bóer will be played this Friday, August 14 at 6 in the afternoon at the Dennis Martínez National Stadium.
The series is 3-2 in favor of Boer who is only 1 victory away from seizing the 11th title in the franchise since 1970 that would keep him as the second-winningest team only behind León and make him the first three-time champion of the new stage of the Pomares (since 2009)
For «La Tribu» it would be to end the losing streak of finals against the Dantos after the disasters suffered in 1987, 2016 and 2018 in which it has been dominated by the power of the «Red Machinery.»
For their part, the Dantos will seek for the third time in their history to force a seventh and decisive game for the championship.
Since 1974 when the final series ceased to be series between 4 teams to be disputed only by 2, a total of 20 finals have required the maximum number of games to define the Champion, and in 2 of them the Dantos have been protagonists.
In the 1988 season, Omar Cisneros’s Dantos found themselves with the rope around their necks against Davis Hodgson’s Caribbean Coast that took them 3-1 ahead. The red machinery defeated the Caribbean Coast 11 × 7 in the fifth game in Bluefields to put the series 3-2 and in Managua with consecutive knockouts 15 × 5 and 14 × 4 they were responsible for culminating the comeback.
After being victims of León de Noel Áreas in the 1990 final that snatched the title from them after leading 3-0, the Dantos again showed their claw against Chinandega in 1991 to win the crown.
Again they were at a 1-3 disadvantage this time against Chinandega de Argelio Córdova. They won the fifth game in Chinandega 12-1 (KO) and then they were in charge of defeating the Westerners in games 6 and 7 played in Managua with markers 13 × 6 and 15 × 5 (KO) to end their second comeback.
SAN FERNANDO AND LEÓN RETURNED TO THE BÓER
The Boer for his part has lost the title on a couple of occasions after being up in the series 3-1 or 3-2. In 1992 he took advantage 3-1 over San Fernando, but the Fieras won the games 5,6,7 in a row to snatch the championship, 7 × 6, 11 × 6 and 19 × 5 (KO).

Of the 20 final series that have been played in the maximum number of games, 14 of them have ended up winning the team that forced the last commitment, given that in 1978 Granada forced the ninth game of the series against Estelí which was a scheduled final to the first to win five.
The last champion who led his series to the maximum of games was the Frente Sur Rivas in 2017 against León. In the new stage of the Pomares only three teams have forced the seventh game of the Final Series: Estelí against Granada in 2009, Bóer against Matagalpa in 2012 and Rivas against León in 2017
ROGER MARIN VS JUNIOR TELLEZ
Roger Marín (Bóer) and Junior Téllez (Dantos) are the starters scheduled for this match. Marín has a 0-1 balance in the current final where he went in the third game 4 innings of 5 runs, 2 earned. Téllez for his part in 2 games (1 relief and 1 start) has a 1-0 balance, he won that game against Marín, receives 2 earned runs in 11 episodes.
This Friday will be Marín’s 14th start in final series since 2009, he has played 16 games in final series, has a balance of 2-6 and shoots for a 4.07 ERA. For his part, Téllez will be his 5th opening in finals, registering a total of 13 games played, 2 saves and a 2.64 ERA.
