Bilwi, Waspam y Prinzapolka reciben kits médicos
El Gobierno de Nicaragua con el apoyo de la Organización Panamericana de la Salud, OPS, entregó la tarde de este martes 160 kits de materiales para la atención directa en salud a los pacientes de los diferentes puestos, ubicados en los barrios y comunidades de Bilwi, Waspam y Prinzapolka.
Estos materiales garantizarán una mejor atención a la población ya que los kits contienen materiales de atención inmediata.
El doctor Lazar Téllez, director del SILAIS para Bilwi, Waspam y Prinzapolka, destacó el esfuerzo que realiza el Ministerio de salud para garantizar la salud en cada rincón de esta región caribeña. «Nuestro Ministerio de Salud ha gestionado estos materiales con la OPS para que nuestros grupos integrales de salud intercultural en los sectores puedan atender en las visitas a nuestros pacientes”, refirió.
Los kits que fueron entregado contienen tensiómetro, estetoscopio, alcohol en gel, mascarillas, capotes entre otros materiales muy importantes para el personal de salud en esa zona del Caribe de Nicaragua.
Asimismo el doctor Téllez detalló que «de los 160 kits también se han entregado seis maletines grandes con materiales que serán utilizados para trasladar pacientes graves en vehículos de un puesto de salud a una unidad de salud más grande en el casco urbano”.
El personal de salud que labora en los puestos recibieron una cocina de gas, que será utilizada para preparar sueros orales en el caso de que se presente un paciente con estado de deshidratación.
Por su parte la doctora Saira Lewis Zamora, directora municipal del SILAIS en Waspam, dijo que estos materiales «vienen a facilitar el trabajo del personal de salud, particularmente en el municipio de Waspam que en su mayoría la población vive en zonas rurales. Muy contenta, agradeciendo a nuestro buen Gobierno y a la OPS por este donativo que garantiza la calidad de salud de nuestra población indígena».

The Government of Nicaragua with the support of the Pan American Health Organization, PAHO, delivered 160 kits of materials for direct health care to patients at the different posts, located in the neighborhoods and communities of Bilwi, on Tuesday afternoon. Waspam and Prinzapolka.
These materials will guarantee better care for the population since the kits contain materials for immediate care.
Dr. Lazar Téllez, director of SILAIS for Bilwi, Waspam and Prinzapolka, highlighted the effort made by the Ministry of Health to guarantee health in every corner of this Caribbean region. «Our Ministry of Health has managed these materials with PAHO so that our comprehensive intercultural health groups in the sectors can attend visits to our patients,» he said.
The kits that were delivered contain a blood pressure monitor, stethoscope, alcohol gel, masks, capes, and other very important materials for health personnel in that Caribbean area of Nicaragua.
Likewise, Dr. Téllez explained that «of the 160 kits, six large briefcases with materials have also been delivered that will be used to transport seriously ill patients in vehicles from a health post to a larger health unit in the urban area.»
The health personnel who work in the posts received a gas stove, which will be used to prepare oral serums in the event that a dehydrated patient presents.
For her part, Dr. Saira Lewis Zamora, SILAIS municipal director in Waspam, said that these materials «come to facilitate the work of health personnel, particularly in the municipality of Waspam, where the majority of the population lives in rural areas. Very happy , thanking our good Government and PAHO for this donation that guarantees the quality of health of our indigenous population. «
