BICU y HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua juntos ratifican convenio

HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua y la Bluefields Indian & Caribbean University BICU extienden sus acciones de colaboración por el desarrollo académico de la región durante cinco años más, lo cual fue posible tras la firma del convenio marco de cooperación entre ambas entidades suscrito recientemente.

Melvin Miranda, Gerente interino de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial de HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua, destacó el trabajo de esta institución académica por el desarrollo de la educación en la región y se enorgullece que la empresa sea parte de este esfuerzo que contribuye al futuro de la Costa Caribe. 

“HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua se satisface con el esfuerzo articulado con la BICU por la educación de la juventud costeña, conocimientos que han sido esenciales para impulsar y afianzar la operativización de la minería en la región”, enfatizó el funcionario minero.

Kevin López, secretario general de la BICU, señaló que esta relación de trabajo suma ya 18 años, tiempo en que han sabido acoplarse y alcanzar metas en común que benefician el desarrollo de la educación en la región.

“Como universidad comunitaria e intercultural, tenemos la obligación de acercarnos más a la población a través de la proyección social y los logros han sido palpables como el nuevo edifico de electromecánica construido casi en su totalidad por HEMCO, además de planes de estudio para carreras mineras como geología y electromecánica”.

Yader Salgado, coordinador de la extensión BICU-Bonanza, destaca que la empresa minera ha sido una aliada trascendental para la universidad y el municipio. “Siendo honestos, no hubiéremos podido lograr muchos objetivos si no contáramos con esta buena relación entre la academia que somos nosotros y la empresa privada que es HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua”, resaltó el académico.

Algunos logros conjuntos: 

Creación de la carrera de Geología, Creación de la carrera técnico en Electromecánica, 35 becas para la carrera Físico Matemática, 29 becas para la carrera de Educación para docentes de Bonanza y Rosita.

HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua and the Bluefields Indian & Caribbean University BICU extend their collaboration actions for the academic development of the region for five more years, which was possible after the signing of the recently signed framework cooperation agreement between both entities.

Melvin Miranda, Interim Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility of HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua, highlighted the work of this academic institution for the development of education in the region and is proud that the company is part of this effort that contributes to the future of the Caribbean Coast.

«HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua is satisfied with the effort articulated with the BICU for the education of coastal youth, knowledge that has been essential to promote and strengthen the operationalization of mining in the region,» emphasized the mining official.

Kevin López, general secretary of the BICU, pointed out that this working relationship has lasted 18 years, a time in which they have known how to connect and achieve common goals that benefit the development of education in the region.

“As a community and intercultural university, we have the obligation to get closer to the population through social projection and the achievements have been tangible, such as the new electromechanical building built almost entirely by HEMCO, in addition to curricula for mining careers. such as geology and electromechanics.

Yader Salgado, coordinator of the BICU-Bonanza extension, highlights that the mining company has been a transcendental ally for the university and the municipality. «To be honest, we would not have been able to achieve many objectives if we did not have this good relationship between the academy that we are and the private company that is HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua,» the academic highlighted.

Some joint achievements:

Creation of the Geology career, Creation of the Electromechanics technical career, 35 scholarships for the Mathematical Physics career, 29 scholarships for the Education career for Bonanza and Rosita teachers.
