Gobierno de Nicaragua Inaugura zoo criadero demostrativo de iguana verde en Siuna
En el marco de la estrategia gubernamental tu solución basada en la naturaleza, fue inaugurado un zoo criadero de iguanas verdes demostrativo, la tarde de este miércoles 5 de mayo en la delegación departamental del Ministerio de Recursos Naturales y el Medio Ambiente MARENA en Siuna, Región Autónoma de la Costa Caribe Norte.
Omar Soza, delegado municipal del Marena en Siuna, dijo que el zoo criadero es demostrativo con la finalidad de demostrar que se pueden tener este tipo de emprendimiento para conservar y reproducir la especie sin ningún problema.
“solo se necesita paciencia y perseverancia, con ello se mantiene conservada la especie y se puede reproducir, instamos a la población para que puedan realizar esta actividad que se puede hacer en familia” afirmó el delegado del Marena.
El funcionario dijo que se han inaugurado desde el año 2020 hasta la fecha, 15 zoo criaderos en Siuna, Rosita Waslala y Siuna, donde las principales especies están los venados cola blanca, guardatinajas y las iguanas verdes.
Orlando Arancibia, representante del FSLN en Siuna dijo que el zoo criaderos buscan mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas y medio ambiente.
Magdalena Mendoza coordinadora departamental de la Juventud Sandinista en el Triángulo Minero dijo que desde la Juventud Sandinista y el movimiento ambientalista guardabarranco están brindando acompañamiento al emprendimiento del zoo criadero, de una manera interinstitucional con el cual se está promoviendo el amor a la madre tierra.
Otro de los objetivos que tienen es la protección a la biodiversidad sobre todo las especies en peligro de extinción y con la devastación de los dos huracanes que afectaron el Caribe desde el movimiento se viene apoyando este tipo de esfuerzos.
Con la estrategia del Gobierno ahora la población puede tener más seguridad en sus animales que están reproduciendo en los zoos criaderos porque así los pueden desarrollar sin el peligro que sean ocupados por las autoridades.

Magdalena Mendoza, departmental coordinator of the Sandinista Youth in the Mining Triangle, said that the Sandinista Youth and the Guardabarranco environmental movement are providing support to the breeding zoo venture, in an inter-institutional way with which love for mother earth is being promoted.
Another objective they have is the protection of biodiversity, especially endangered species, and with the devastation of the two hurricanes that affected the Caribbean since the movement, this type of effort has been supported.
With the Government’s strategy, now the population can have more security in their animals that are reproducing in breeding zoos because that way they can develop them without the danger of being occupied by the authorities.
