Homenaje a Evaristo Vásquez en Negrowas donde cayeron Ismael Medina Morales y Sabas Gonzales
Autoridades del FSLN en el Triángulo Minero rindieron homenaje a los 36 años del tránsito a la inmortalidad del Sub Comandante Evaristo Vásquez (El chino Santos), guerrillero Internacionalista, panameño, revolucionario, sandinista, nicaragüense de espíritu y corazón, que cayó en una emboscada en 1985 junto otros dos costeños que dieron su vida por la Revolución Popular Sandinista y otros seis que sobrevivieron al ataque.
Posterior al triunfo de nuestra Revolución Popular Sandinista Evaristo Vásquez fue asignada al Ministerio del Interior para asumir tareas en defensa de la Revolución.
Desde el año 1982 fue trasladado a Las Minas, a partir de ese momento con su trabajo entrega y disciplina se ganó todo el respeto, estima y admiración de sus compañeros y de los Militantes del FSLN.
La mañana del 07 de Mayo del año 1985 en la comunidad de Negrowas del municipio de Siuna, es embocado por aproximadamente 350 miembros de la contrarrevolución.
El Sub Comandante Evaristo Vásquez representa al guerrillero que no tiene fronteras, al hombre valiente, intrépido y luchador incansable, inmortalizó una frase que fue ejemplo e inspiración para los militantes de las Minas: “siempre se puede dar un poco más, porque lo último que se pierde no es la vida si no la vergüenza revolucionaria”.
Los costeños que murieron con el sub comandante Evaristo Vásquez fueron Ismael Medina Morales de Puerto Cabezas y Sabas Gonzales de Rosita.
SOBREVIVIENTES DE LA EMBOSCADA
En Siuna en la actualidad están tres sobrevivientes de la emboscada, Juan Pastor García que trabajan actualmente como vigilante en URACCAN Las Minas, Dexter Julieth y otro siuneño conocido como Pichirilo.
También sobrevivieron al ataque Leónidas Rizo, Carlos Blandón y Pablo Hernández, según confirman militantes del FSLN de Rosita y Siuna.
Tribute to Evaristo Vásquez in Negrowas where Ismael Medina Morales and Sabas Gonzales fell
FSLN authorities in the Mining Triangle paid tribute to the 36 years of the transit to the immortality of Sub Commander Evaristo Vásquez (El Chino Santos), an Internationalist guerrilla, Panamanian, revolutionary, Sandinista, Nicaraguan of spirit and heart, who fell into an ambush in 1985 along with two other coastal people who gave their lives for the Sandinista Popular Revolution and six others who survived the attack.

Sub Commander Evaristo Vásquez represents the guerrilla who has no borders, the brave, intrepid man and tireless fighter, he immortalized a phrase that was an example and inspiration for the militants of the Mines: life is lost, but revolutionary shame ”.
The people from the coast who died with Sub Commander Evaristo Vásquez were Ismael Medina Morales from Puerto Cabezas and Sabas Gonzales from Rosita.
SURVIVORS OF THE AMBUSH
Currently there are three survivors of the ambush in Siuna, Juan Pastor García who are currently working as a guard at URACCAN Las Minas, Dexter Julieth and another Siuneño known as Pichirilo.
Leonidas Rizo, Carlos Blandón and Pablo Hernández also survived the attack, as confirmed by FSLN militants from Rosita and Siuna.
