Como parte de la responsabilidad d social empresarial de MLR forestal de Nicaragua se ha elaborado un proyecto que aprobó la Junta Directiva que tiene cuatro componentes en la lucha para evitar la expansión y el contagio comunitario y la propagación del COVID 19, así lo dio a conocer el Licenciado Luis López Gerente de Desarrollo Sostenible de MLR Forestal, en Siuna, Caribe Norte.

López agrego que uno de los objetivos es establecer políticas estrictas en todo el personal que labora en el MLR forestal, que van desde el lavado de manos y el uso de las mascarillas, pero además va dirigido a la familia del trabajador, si el trabajador no se cuida en su casa puede ser contra producente.

“Los familiares de los trabajadores de MLR forestal están siendo dotados por un kit que contiene cloro jabón líquido, jabón en barra, alcohol gel, mascarillas para que pueda ser utilizada en el entorno familiar” afirmó López.

El funcionario de MLR forestal dijo que el segundo componente es entregar estos kits en las 13 comunidades que están en el primero de la empresa MLR forestal, Empalme Labú, Unión Labú, Betel 2, Waspado, Matiguas entre otras que están cerca de las plantaciones.

En tercer componente del proyecto es encontrar sectores vulnerables como es el caso de Bonanza donde hay territorios indígenas que están cerca de las plantaciones como son Sakalwas, y Españolina y Mukuswas, que reciben kit de higiene, para protegerse y estén prevenidos del contagio del COVID 19, dijo el gerente de Desarrollo Sostenible de MLR forestal.

López detalló que el cuarto componente es habilitar a las unidades de salud que incluyen el hospital primario Carlos Centeno de Siuna y las unidades de salud cerca del perímetro como el Hormiguero y Unión Labú, son unidades de salud que llegan trabajadores del MLR forestal y de esta forma se aporta a la protección del centro de salud.

“También se tiene una campaña de publicidad por medio de las Radios locales de Siuna y Bonanza, con noticias con tips de cuido sobre el COVID 19, con consejo de lavado de manos, uso de mascarilla, y lo que debe hacer una persona con síntomas del COVID 19” afirmo López

En Bonanza se están transmitiendo las viñetas en Mayangna, para las poblaciones indígenas de las comunidades indígenas.

Durante dos meses se estarán aportando a la comunidad porque somos parte de la compendiad y si ellos están sanos nosotros estamos sanos, nosotros hacemos comunidad en MLR forestal  concluyo López.

Forest MLR contributes in the prevention of contagion and spread of COVID-19

The MLR forestry official said that the second component is to deliver these kits in the 13 communities that are in the first of the MLR forestry company, Empalme Labú, Unión Labú, Betel 2, Waspado, Matiguas among others that are near the plantations.

In the third component of the project is to find vulnerable sectors such as the Bonanza case where there are indigenous territories that are close to the plantations such as Sakalwas, and Españolina and Mukuswas, who receive hygiene kits, to protect themselves and be prevented from contagion by COVID 19 , said the manager of Sustainable Development of forestry MLR.

López explained that the fourth component is to enable the health units that include the Carlos Centeno de Siuna primary hospital and the health units near the perimeter such as Hormiguero and Unión Labú, which are health units that workers from the forestry MLR arrive and from this form contributes to the protection of the health center.

“There is also an advertising campaign through the local radio stations of Siuna and Bonanza, with news with tips on the care of COVID 19, with advice on hand washing, use of a mask, and what a person with symptoms should do. of COVID 19” López affirmed

In Bonanza the vignettes are being broadcast in Mayangna, for the indigenous populations of the indigenous communities.
