Evalúan daños en zona de Bilwi tras paso de Eta
La secretaría de producción del gobierno regional del Caribe Norte, el Ministerio de Economía Familiar, el Instituto Nacional Forestal y el Ministerio de Salud evaluaron este viernes los daños ocasionados por el huracán ETA en las comunidades de Tawra y Kuakuil del Twi Yahbra.
Durante el recorrido, la brigada observó la pérdida total de cultivos como la yuca, el quequisque, malanga y plátanos, además de las inundaciones que dejaron bajo agua a todas las siembras.
En la comunidad de Kuakuil, contabilizaron la pérdida de 30 árboles frutales y ocho palmas, daños leves en el techo de algunas viviendas y afortunadamente no se reportaron heridos, ni víctimas humanas.
Mientras que en la comunidad Tuara visitaron a 17 familias afectadas, las que resultaron con leves daños en sus techos, así como se reportó la pérdida total de los sistemas productivos de 107 protagonistas. En esta comunidad se trasladó un equipo de salud, quienes asistieron a 44 personas y se hizo la entrega de medicamentos y víveres.
La evaluación de daños en la comunidad Sisin apuntó a pocas afectaciones en las infraestructuras de las casas, pero sí la interrupción de la vía entre Bilwi y Waspam debido a la crecida del río Likus. De igual manera, el análisis apuntó a la pérdida total de los cultivos de autoconsumo de las familias indígenas de esta comunidad.
El Gobierno de Nicaragua continúa atendiendo a las familias por el paso del fenómeno meteorológico con la entrega de provisiones, la limpieza y la reactivación de los sistemas de energía y telecomunicaciones, aunque la evaluación de daños aún no ha culminado.
They assess damage in the Bilwi area after the Eta pass
The production secretariat of the regional government of the North Caribbean, the Ministry of Family Economy, the National Forest Institute and the Ministry of Health evaluated this Friday the damage caused by hurricane ETA in the communities of Tawra and Kuakuil of Twi Yahbra.
During the tour, the brigade observed the total loss of crops such as cassava, quequisque, taro and plantains, in addition to the floods that left all the crops under water.
In the Kuakuil community, they counted the loss of 30 fruit trees and eight palms, slight damage to the roof of some houses, and fortunately no injuries or human victims were reported.
While in the Tuara community they visited 17 affected families, which resulted in slight damage to their roofs, as well as the total loss of the productive systems of 107 protagonists. A health team traveled to this community, assisting 44 people and delivering medicines and supplies.
The damage assessment in the Sisin community pointed to few damages to the infrastructures of the houses, but the interruption of the road between Bilwi and Waspam due to the rising of the Likus river. In the same way, the analysis pointed to the total loss of the crops for self-consumption of the indigenous families of this community.
The Government of Nicaragua continues to assist families due to the passing of the meteorological phenomenon with the delivery of provisions, cleaning and reactivation of the power and telecommunications systems, although the damage assessment has not yet been completed.
