General Avilés visita unidades navales en el Caribe Norte
El 14 y 15 de diciembre de 2020. el Comandante en Jefe del de Nicaragua. General de Ejército Julio César Avilés Castillo, acompañado por el Jefe de la Fuerza Naval. Contralmirante Ángel Eugenio Fonseca Donaire. generales de brigada y oficiales superiores. realizó Visita a las unidades de la Fuerza Naval en el Caribe Norte
Durante la misma, el Comandante en Jefe reconoció a los jefes. tripulaciones. oficiales. clases, marineros y auxiliares el cumplimiento de las misiones y tareas durante la evacuación. búsqueda. salvamento y rescate, para preservar la Vida de miles de pobladores en las zonas de Cayos Miskitos y del litoral
Igualmente. destacó los esfuerzos que han estado y continúan realizando en el carque y descargue de medios materiales de todo tipo. enviados por la Presidencia de la República a las diferentes familias afectadas por Los huracanes «Eta e Iota», para mitigar los daños.
Durante la visita de trabajo del Comandante en Jefe a las unidades navales del Caribe Norte reconoció al personal y tripulaciones que permanecen en el Puesto de Avanzada Naval de Cayos Miskitos, las extraordinarias misiones realizadas durante la evacuación de 1,500 pobladores en riesgo ante ambos huracanes. Igualmente transmitió el saludo del Presidente de la República y Jefe Supremo del Ejército de Nicaragua, Comandante Daniel Ortega Saavedra.
