Viceministro del MARENA recorre zonas afectadas por los huracanes en Siuna

Autoridades del Ministerio de Recursos Naturales y el Medio Ambiente, MARENA realizaron una visita a los protagonistas del Triángulo Minero, con el objetivo de evaluar los daños que fueron ocasionados por los huracanes Iota y Eta para ver cómo se puede colaborar a mitigar los daños.

El viceministro del MARENA Javier Gutiérrez, hizo un recorrido por los diferentes protagonistas con los que trabaja el MARENA en Siuna, entre ellos un Zoocriadero de guardatinajas en el laboratorio natural Awawas de la universidad URACCAN en Siuna.

En URACCAN sostuvo un encuentro con la vicerrectora de URACCAN Angélica Leonor Ruiz Calderón, y el vicerrector general de URACCAN Yuri Zapata, quienes expresaron la voluntad de trabajar en los procesos de investigación en articulación con el Marena.

El vice titular del MARENA dijo que tienen instrucciones del Presidente y la Vicepresidenta de Nicaragua de recorrer las zonas afectadas por los huracanes, y ver con los protagonistas las afectaciones que tienen y de esa forma tener claro las afectaciones para buscar mecanismos que permitan la reconstrucción y regeneración también de las áreas devastadas.

 “Estamos evaluando con la delegación territorial, en que se puede colaborar y por medio de nuestros técnicos apoyar los procesos de restauración ambiental que aquí van a hacer muy importante, ya que los bosques jugaron un papel fundamental como barrera natural para reducir los daños que ocasionaron los huracanes Iota y Eta”, afirmó Gutiérrez.

La vicerrectora de URACCAN Angélica Leonor Ruiz Caldero, dijo que para ella fue honor recibir al viceministro y patentizar la anuencia y el compromiso de seguir trabajando por la protección y preservación del medio ambiente y desde la filosofía institucional es un mandato que se viene cumpliendo en la región.

“URACCAN desde su misión y visión destaca el amor a la Madre Tierra y desde los procesos académicos y la articulación con las entidades gubernamentales se viene operativizando en el recinto Las Minas”, afirmó la vicerrectora de URACCAN Las Minas.

The vice head of MARENA said that they have instructions from the President and Vice President of Nicaragua to visit the areas affected by the hurricanes, and see with the protagonists the effects they have and thus be clear about the effects to seek mechanisms that allow reconstruction and regeneration also of devastated areas.

 “We are evaluating with the territorial delegation, in which we can collaborate and through our technicians to support the environmental restoration processes that are going to be very important here, since the forests played a fundamental role as a natural barrier to reduce the damage they caused. hurricanes Iota and Eta, ”said Gutiérrez.

The vice-rector of URACCAN Angélica Leonor Ruiz Caldero, said that it was an honor for her to receive the vice minister and show her consent and commitment to continue working for the protection and preservation of the environment and from the institutional philosophy it is a mandate that has been fulfilled in the region.

“URACCAN from its mission and vision highlights the love for Mother Earth and from the academic processes and the articulation with the governmental entities it has been operative in the Las Minas campus”, affirmed the vice-rector of URACCAN Las Minas.
