El Gobierno de Nicaragua realiza un taller Internacional para el monitoreo de los bosques en el centro de investigación CICABO en el municipio de Bonanza, Región Autónoma de la Costa Caribe Norte,  con el acompañamiento de los expertos Dr. Rene Zamora Especialista en economía forestal Coordinador para Latinoamérica de la iniciativa 20×20 WRI, Dr. Constan Amurrio Especialista en monitoreo de medio ambiente VIELCA-WRI y Dr. Amilcar López Especialista Sistemas de información geográfica El Salvador-WRI.

Este encuentro tiene como fin fortalecer los conocimientos de los participantes en el manejo de Collect Earth y Global Forest Watch como herramientas alternativas para el monitoreo de restauración de ecosistemas a gran escala.

Participan funcionarios del Gobierno de Ministerio de Recursos Naturales y el medio Ambiente, Gobiernos locales, Regionales, y otras instancias del Gobierno y empresa privada.

En el acto inaugural del encuentro estuvieron presentes el Coordinador del Gobierno Regional master Carlos Alemán, el Secretario Político departamental del Triángulo Minero Prinzapolka Mulukuku y Paiwas, Jose Luis Solórzano, el alcalde de Bonanza Alexander Alvarado Lam, la alcaldesa de Prinzapolka Prodelina Bob.

International forest monitoring workshop in research center in Bonanza

The Government of Nicaragua holds an International Workshop for forest monitoring at the CICABO research center in the municipality of Bonanza, Autonomous Region of the North Caribbean Coast, with the accompaniment of experts Dr. Rene Zamora Specialist in forest economics Coordinator for Latin America of the 20×20 WRI initiative, Dr. Constan Amurrio Environmental Monitoring Specialist VIELCA-WRI and Dr. Amilcar López Geographic Information Systems Specialist El Salvador-WRI.

This meeting aims to strengthen the knowledge of the participants in the management of Collect Earth and Global Forest Watch as alternative tools for monitoring large-scale ecosystem restoration.

Government officials from the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment, Local, Regional Governments, and other instances of the Government and private companies participate.

The opening ceremony of the meeting was attended by the Coordinator of the Regional Government master Carlos Alemán, the Departmental Political Secretary of the Mining Triangle Prinzapolka Mulukuku and Paiwas, Jose Luis Solórzano, the Mayor of Bonanza Alexander Alvarado Lam, the Mayor of Prinzapolka Prodelina Bob.
