Lideres del alto Wangki y Bocay celebran llegada de UNICAM URACCAN con tres carreras

El Gobierno de Nicaragua por medio del Consejo Nacional de Universidades y la Universidad de las Regiones Autónomas de la Costa Caribe Nicaragüense URACCAN lleva a la región del régimen especial del Alto Wangki y Bocay, tres carreras universitarias para profesionalizar a 150 docentes indígenas Miskitos y Mayangnas en el año 2024.

Primitivo Centeno presidente del Régimen Especial del Alto Wangki y Bocay, dijo que en esta región la educación tiene apenas 30 años, por tanto, hay una gran demanda para la Educación Superior, sin embargo con gestiones hechas con el comandante Daniel y la vicepresidenta Rosario Murillo, se ha logrado que llegue la UNICAM con URACCAN para atender la profesionalización de los docentes, pero este es un hecho histórico y trascendental porque jamás habían tenido una universidad en este territorio.

Por su parte la Maestra Carmenza Chang Herrera, secretaria académica de URACCAN Las Minas, acompañada de un equipo de cinco personas en toral, realizaron una visita oficial en el territorio donde sostuvo encuentros con los lideres comunitarios y docentes del territorio que esperan con ansias, la llegada de URACCAN con las tres carreras dirigidas a la formación profesional de los docentes Miskitos y Mayangnas.

“Tenemos la orientación de abrir la Universidad en el Campo UNICAM en Alto Wangki y Bocay, para llegar esta población que viene a restituirles el derecho a la educación superior, como un mandato del comandante Daniel y la compañera Rosario, se van a aperturar tres carreras de las ciencias de la educación” afirmo la maestra Chang Herrera.

Ileana Molina Maxwell, docente de San Andrés de Bocay de origen Miskito, dijo que se sienten muy orgullosos por la llegada de la universidad URACCAN, ya que se esta trabajando de forma empírica y La URACCAN les va a permitir profesionalizarse.

Yadira Joseph Cornejo, docente de San Andrés de Bocay, dijo que para ellos es una gran alegría porque por la distancia hay docentes que no pudieron salir a estudiar, ya que, aunque quieren no pueden por que son de escasos recursos económicos por ello agradece al Gobierno y URACCAN por llegar hasta la comunidad.

Por su Parte el profesor Hermógenes Lopez docentes de San Andrés de Bocay dijo que están en una zona muy alejada y sin recursos para poder estudiar fuera de su comunidad, por eso celebran la llegada de URACCAN.

En tanto Luis Maxwell Gómez docente de San Andras dijo que está muy alegre por este gran logro de tener a la universidad URACCAN en su comunidad.

En el Alto Wangki y Bocay existen 400 docentes del Ministerio de Educación en su mayoría empíricos, que ahora tienen la oportunidad de profesionalizarse con la llega de URACCAN a su comunidad.

Leaders from Alto Wangki and Bocay celebrate the arrival of UNICAM URACCAN with three races

The Government of Nicaragua, through the National Council of Universities and the University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast URACCAN, brings to the region of the special regime of Alto Wangki and Bocay, three university courses to professionalize 150 indigenous Miskito and Mayangna teachers in the year 2024.

Primitivo Centeno, president of the Special Regime of Alto Wangki and Bocay, said that in this region education is barely 30 years old, therefore, there is a great demand for Higher Education, however with efforts made with Commander Daniel and Vice President Rosario Murillo , UNICAM has been able to arrive with URACCAN to attend to the professionalization of teachers, but this is a historical and transcendental fact because they have never had a university in this territory.

For her part, Teacher Carmenza Chang Herrera, academic secretary of URACCAN Las Minas, accompanied by a team of five people in total, made an official visit to the territory where she held meetings with the community leaders and teachers of the territory who are looking forward to the arrival of URACCAN with the three courses aimed at the professional training of Miskito and Mayangna teachers.

«We have the orientation of opening the University in the UNICAM Field in Alto Wangki and Bocay, to reach this population that comes to restore their right to higher education, as a mandate from Commander Daniel and Comrade Rosario, three careers will be opened of educational sciences,” said teacher Chang Herrera.

Ileana Molina Maxwell, a teacher from San Andrés de Bocay of Miskito origin, said that they feel very proud of the arrival of the URACCAN university, since they are working empirically and URACCAN will allow them to become professional.

Yadira Joseph Cornejo, a teacher from San Andrés de Bocay, said that for them it is a great joy because due to the distance there are teachers who could not go out to study, since, even if they want to, they cannot because they have limited financial resources, so she thanks the Government and URACCAN for reaching out to the community.

For his part, Professor Hermógenes Lopez, teachers from San Andrés de Bocay said that they are in a very remote area and without resources to be able to study outside their community, that is why they celebrate the arrival of URACCAN.

Meanwhile, Luis Maxwell Gómez, a teacher from San Andras, said that he is very happy about this great achievement of having the URACCAN university in his community.

In Alto Wangki and Bocay there are 400 teachers from the Ministry of Education, most of them empirical, who now have the opportunity to become professional with the arrival of URACCAN to their community.
