Cuatro muertos y tres lesionados en brutal accidente en puente Labu de Siuna

Un aparatoso accidente de tránsito se registró la noche de este sábado en el puente Labu, jurisdicción del municipio de Siuna en el Caribe Norte, dejando como saldo cuatro personas fallecidas y tres lesionados que fueron llevado al hospital Carlos Centeno de Siuna para recibir atención hospitalaria.

El accidente de registro cuando el conductor de un camión blanco placa RN4072 no previo que el puente es de un carril y paso de paso cayendo al abismo dejando el saldo de cuatro personas fallecidas y tres lesionados, así como daños irreversibles en el automotor.

Los muertos fueron identificados por las autoridades policiales como Judith Pikitle Manzanares, de Puerto Cabezas, comunidad de Wakambay, Carmen Quiroz Chavarría, de la Cruz de Rio Grande, Darling Betzabel López Valdivia y Dionicio López Valdivia ambos de Puerto Cabezas.

Los heridos fueron identificados como Delyard Henríquez Palacios, originario de Waspam, río coco, Hilario Andino Jarquín originario de Puerto Cabezas y un niño de un año que trasladado al hospital Carlos Centeno.

El accidente fue a las 10:00 pm, según confirmaron testigos que llegaron a auxiliar a las personas lesionadas.

Juan Figueroa habitante de Labu, fue la persona que llego junto a su hijo y un hermano a auxiliar a los lesionados, “escuchamos el estruendo, nos dejamos venir a rescatar al que estaba vivo, allí solamente lo que estaban vivo es un señor de edad y un muchacho y un niño que fue llevado para Siuna por que estaba bien mal con un golpe en la cabeza” afirmó Figueroa.

Por su parte el pastor evangélico, Abel de Jesús Gutiérrez Diaz, dijo que el estaba dormido, pero llego un amigo a tocarle la puerta y al llegar abajo vieron a los dos heridos que los habían sacado del camión y cuatro muertos.

“Lo que pasa es que la gente se equivoca, creen que el puente es de doble vía y no es solo de una vía, ellos pasan de paso creyendo que el puente es de doble vía” comento el religioso.

Al lugar del accidente se hicieron presentes los investigadores de la Policía Nacional, peritos de criminalística, agentes de tránsito, la Cruz Blanca, los bomberos unificados del Ministerio del Interior, medicina forense.

Los oficiales de la Policía Nacional con el Comisionado General Víctor Leonel Huerta Gonzales al frente del equipo, realizaron las operaciones de rescate de los cuerpos que estaban atrapados dos en el camastro del camión y dos cuerpos prensados en la cabina del camión.  

Four dead and three injured in brutal accident on the Labu bridge in Siuna

A spectacular traffic accident occurred this Saturday night on the Labu bridge, jurisdiction of the municipality of Siuna in the Northern Caribbean, leaving four people dead and three injured who were taken to the Carlos Centeno hospital in Siuna to receive hospital care.

The accident was recorded when the driver of a white truck with license plate RN4072 did not realize that the bridge was one lane and fell into the abyss, leaving four people dead and three injured, as well as irreversible damage to the vehicle.

The dead were identified by police authorities as Judith Pikitle Manzanares, from Puerto Cabezas, community of Wakambay, Carmen Quiroz Chavarría, from La Cruz de Rio Grande, Darling Betzabel López Valdivia and Dionicio López Valdivia, both from Puerto Cabezas.

The injured were identified as Delyard Henríquez Palacios, originally from Waspam, Río Coco, Hilario Andino Jarquín, originally from Puerto Cabezas, and a one-year-old child who was taken to the Carlos Centeno hospital.

The accident occurred at 10:00 pm, as confirmed by witnesses who came to help the injured people.

Juan Figueroa, a resident of Labu, was the person who arrived with his son and a brother to help the injured, “we heard the roar, we let ourselves come to rescue the one who was alive, there only what was alive was an elderly man.” and a boy and a child who was taken to Siuna because he was in very bad condition with a blow to the head,” said Figueroa.

For his part, the evangelical pastor, Abel de Jesús Gutiérrez Diaz, said that he was asleep, but a friend came to knock on his door and when they got downstairs they saw the two wounded people who had been taken out of the truck and four dead people.

“What happens is that people are mistaken, they believe that the bridge is a two-way bridge and it is not just a one-way road, they pass by believing that the bridge is a two-way road,” commented the religious.

Investigators from the National Police, criminal experts, traffic agents, the White Cross, unified firefighters from the Ministry of the Interior, and forensic medicine were present at the scene of the accident.

The officers of the National Police with Commissioner General Víctor Leonel Huerta Gonzales at the head of the team, carried out the rescue operations of the bodies that were trapped, two in the bed of the truck and two bodies pressed in the cabin of the truck.
