Encuentran cuerpo de dos niños en el rio Prinzapolka

Autoridades locales de Prinzapolka confirmaron que a las 5:52 de la mañana de este martes 23 de abril, fue encontrado los cuerpos de dos niños de 6 años, en la cuenca abajo a unos 10 kilómetros de Alamikamba en la comunidad La Agrícola, jurisdicción del municipio de Prinzapolka, en la Región Autónoma de la Costa caribe Norte.

El Comisionado Juan Cantillano jefe de los bomberos de Prinzapolka confirmo el hallazgo del cuerpo, el cual fue encontrado por los comunitarios, miembros de la Policía Nacional y los Bomberos Unidos de Prinzapolka, en la operación de búsqueda y rescate.

Los cuerpos de los niños fueron identificados como Ada Aragón Paiva de 6 años y Kenloy Pointh Edwards de 6 años, ambos desaparecieron desde el  día de ayer y fueron encontraron por las autoridades ya sin vida.

Las autoridades locales informaron que los cuerpos fueron entregados a Elsa Paiva de 42 años y Andrea Edwards de 36 años, madres de los dos menores.

Las autoridades de la Policía Nacional realizan las investigaciones correspondientes para determinar las causas de la muerte de los dos menores.

Las autoridades hacen una llamado a la población que vive a la orilla de los ríos a cuidar a los niños para evitar tragedias como estas que enlutan a las familias caribeñas.

El rio Prinzapolka es uno de los ríos mas caudalosos que tiene el Caribe Norte, a lo largo de este rio se ubican las comunidades indígenas miskitas y mestizas, que viven de la pesca y la agricultura.

Las madres, jovencitas salen a los ríos a lavar ropa, muchas veces acompañados de sus hijos que aprovechan para bañarse a la orilla del rio, estos niños son expertos en nadar, por lo que se presume que los niños tuvieron algún percance que les impidió nadar y salir a flote.
