Corn Island se convierten en los tetracampeones al derrotar a Siuna en Bonanza

Se cierra el telón de las 73 serie del Caribe Nicaragüense, en Bonanza con la victoria de Corn Island 11 x 5 a los mineros de Siuna, y con ello escriben un capítulo único en la historia de las series caribeñas al convertirse en el equipo que ha ganado cuatro veces se forma consecutiva los títulos de la serie caribeña.  

Una final de infarto con una fanaticada en contra de los isleños, llegaron a demostrar que la isla tiene talento en el beisbol, cuando con un picheo solido del isleño Ariel Downs, lograron derrotar a los siuneños que venían con las ansias de llevarse el titulo que no ven desde hace 20 años.

La serie caribeña termino con Corn Island como campeones de la 73 edición, Siuna con el título e subcampeón y Mulukuku quedo en tercer lugar.

Ariel Downs de la Isla del Maíz fue el jugador más valioso del campeonato caribeño, lanzador líder en efectividad con 0.00 con 16.2 inning lanzados, también se llevó el título de líder en juegos ganados con 2, líder en ponches propinados con 22 chocolates, es sin lugar a dudas el pelotero que se llevo mas trofeos en los lideratos individuales.

El isleño Shan Gómez de Corn Island fue el campeón bate de la serie caribeña al conectar 18 imparables en 30 turnos al bate con 600 de average.

Milton Suárez de Rosita fue el líder en carreras impulsadas con 9 impulsadas en 30 apariciones legales.

George William de Puerto Cabezas fue el campeón jonronero con1 home run en 12 apariciones, Fulton Ruiz de Paiwas, es el líder en bases robadas con 6, Adonis Flores de Paiwas es el líder en carreras anotas con 11.

Ornis Flores quien dirigió el juego de la final contra Siuna, dijo que la diciplina y el talento joven que han integrado al equipo ha sido la clave para que Corn Island sea hoy el tetracampeón de la serie.

“Siempre llevamos la diciplina por delante, son chavalos jóvenes, tenemos chavalos allí de 15 años, hay como cuatro chavalos de 15 años y se puede lograr la meta, nosotros trabajamos con los chavalos necesitamos trabajar mas con los jóvenes” afirmo el dirigente deportivo de la isla.

Por su parte el manager de Siuna Elmer Calderón, confeso al perder el juego contra la isla, que la dirigencia de Siuna, sabia que llegaban a un juego contra Corn Island con un picheo agotado.

“Las dos veces que nos enfrentamos a este equipo de Corn Island, en Rosita y aquí en Bonanza nos encontraron con el picheo agotado, pero el picheo estuvo allí bien hasta el quinto episodio, cuando se nos cayo el picheo, lo que no les permitió terminar bien, pero se logró ganar la representación en el campeonato nacional como Caribe Norte” afirmo el timonel de Siuna.

El jugador mas destacado de la serie dijo que desde que salieron de la isla venían con la mente positiva, porque tuvieron que jugar contra los árbitros y pelearon desde abajo y merecían esta victoria.
