Iota podría entrar al norte de Bilwi según Centro nacional de Huracanes

Iota sigue siendo tormenta tropical y su centro se localizó más al sur esta mañana, debido a eso, el Centro Nacional de Huracanes ajustó el pronóstico de trayectoria y ahora Iota entraría por territorio nicaragüense hacia el norte de Bilwi, Puerto Cabezas.

Actualmente, Iota se localiza a 788 km al este – noreste de Corn Island, Nicaragua y se desplaza en dirección oeste – suroeste a 7 km/h con vientos sostenidos de 65 km/h.

Iota no se ha fortalecido en las últimas horas debido a que en la zona hay vientos cortantes impidiendo ese fortalecimiento, sin embargo, se prevé que las condiciones ambientales mejoren en las próximas 12 a 60 horas y para ese entonces Iota logrará fortalecerse hasta convertirse en huracán.

Se estima que Iota llegue como huracán categoría 2 a la costa del Caribe Norte de Nicaragua la noche del lunes. Es muy probable que en las próximas horas de este sábado 14 de noviembre se esté emitiendo alerta de huracán para el área de Nicaragua y Honduras.

El Gobierno de Colombia emitió advertencia de tormenta tropical para las islas de San Andrés y Providencia.

Independientemente del desarrollo de este fenómeno, se esperan inundaciones y deslizamientos de tierra en Nicaragua y Honduras.

Es importante hacer caso a las autoridades si le piden evacuar. Evite cruzar ríos o quebradas en períodos lluviosos.

Un avión de reconocimiento llegará al centro de la tormenta tropical en las próximas horas y enviará nuevos datos.
