Unas 85 mil familias de Bilwi, recibirán agua potable en junio de este año, informó el ingeniero Nicolás Pereira, delegado de Enacal en esa zona.

El funcionario detalló a medios locales que actualmente la ciudad de Bilwi cuenta con dos sistemas de agua que reciben de Tuapy, donde atienden a unas 2 mil 200 familias, una comunidad cercana a Bilwi y el megaproyecto de agua que se abastece de Sisin donde atenderán a unas 14 mil familias.

Pereira explicó que aún no tienen agua del megaproyecto porque tuvo atrasos con la empresa que ejecuta la obra producto de las lluvias, ya que los trabajos se están haciendo en el rio Sisin y eso no se puede hacer en invierno.

El delegado de Enacal también dijo que hace falta material en la planta de tratamiento.

La idea es que en abril se instalen los micro medidores, en mayo se hacen las primeras pruebas y en junio tengan agua del nuevo proyecto, afirmó el delegado Pereira.

El agua potable es para toda la población y aguas negras es para la mitad de la población estimada en unas 6 mil familias. En la primera etapa 3500 usuarios y la segunda etapa que inicia en enero 220 familia más, pero agua potable es para las 14 mil familias.

Unas 85 mil personas recibirán el vital líquido con el megaproyecto de agua, estaba previsto en 2 años, pero por el clima y otros se lleva ya sobre tres años con una inversión de 56 millones de dólares, con los que se espera se resuelva el problema de agua para la población de Bilwi y sus comunidades.

«Viene el verano, el año pasado se secaron todos los pozos, este año hacemos un llamado para que la población que no tiene el buen servicio que llegue a la oficina para ser atendido y están en la obligación de atenderlos», dijo el funcionario.
