Camión choca contra ganado y se vuelca en Las Brisas Siuna

Cargado con 16 ganado un camión que se dirige a Boaco procedente de Rosita, chocó contra un ganado que cruzaba la vía en el sector de Las Brisas,  a pocos metros del puente La Fonseca, dejando un saldo de ocho vacas muertas y cuantiosos daños materiales en el camión, el accidente se registró a las 5.30 am del  4 de enero  a unos 8 kilómetros de Siuna Caribe Norte.

De acuerdo a declaraciones del conductor del camión, Elvis Bobadilla Garcia,  él venía cargado con 16 vacas, cuando pasaba por Las Brisas de pronto le aparecieron un montón de vacas, trató de capiarlas, pero al intentar recuperar su carril, chocó contra las vacas y se volcó.

Bobadilla Garcia, dijo que no había ningún tipo de señal, en la vía, sino que fue de pronto que el ganado salió de un lado y los que venían arreando el ganado más bien seguían echando más el ganado.

El conductor refirió que esas es una vía principal y hay una línea amarilla continua, lo que indica que no se debe pasar por allí, sin embargo, al hacerlo también tienen que tener un cono o una bandera roja señalando que hay cruce de ganado pero tampoco había señalización. 

Por su parte Jose Bismarck Rojas hijo del propietario de la finca, dijo que el todos los días cruza el ganado después de ordeñarlas y siempre ha tenido cuidado en hacerlo, “eran como a las cinco y media de la mañana cuando salimos, me fije a ambos lados pusimos un conito por el puente y como no había nadie pasamos el agando, pero vimos que el camión venía arriado a más de cien kilómetros por horas, yo me aparte porque tenía miedo que me lo echara encima” afirmó Rojas.

Como resultado del accidente ocho vacas murieron tras el impacto, una de las que llevaba el camión murió y las otras quince vacas salieron despavoridas y se internaron en la finca de don Silvio Rojas, otras siete vacas propiedad de Silvio Rojas murieron.

De inmediato se comenzó a destazar el ganado en el lugar para vender la carne y los dueños del camión llegaron a hacerlo del lugar para su reparación. 

La Policía Nacional llegó al lugar para realizar las investigaciones del accidente y determinar la responsabilidad del caso.

En el año 2024, la Policía Nacional mantiene su campaña de prevención de accidentes de tránsito en la región del Triángulo Minero, una de las recomendaciones es manejar con precaución, respetar los límites de velocidad y evitar conducir en estado de ebriedad. 

Truck collides with cattle and overturns in Las Brisas Siuna

Bobadilla Garcia said that there was no type of sign on the road, but it was suddenly that the cattle came out from one side and those who had been herding the cattle continued to drive more cattle.

The driver said that this is a main road and there is a continuous yellow line, which indicates that you should not pass through there, however, when doing so they also have to have a cone or a red flag indicating that there is cattle crossing but neither there was signage.

For his part, Jose Bismarck Rojas, son of the owner of the farm, said that he crosses the cattle every day after milking them and has always been careful in doing so, “it was around five-thirty in the morning when we left, I noticed On both sides we put a conito on the bridge and since there was no one we crossed the road, but we saw that the truck was coming at more than a hundred kilometers per hour, I moved away because I was afraid that it would hit me,» said Rojas.

As a result of the accident, eight cows died after the impact, one of those carried by the truck died and the other fifteen cows ran out in terror and entered the farm of Don Silvio Rojas, another seven cows owned by Silvio Rojas died.

The cattle immediately began to be butchered in the place to sell the meat and the owners of the truck came to take it away from the place for repair.

The National Police arrived at the scene to investigate the accident and determine responsibility for the case.

In 2024, the National Police maintains its traffic accident prevention campaign in the Mining Triangle region. One of the recommendations is to drive with caution, respect speed limits and avoid driving while intoxicated.
