Rehabilitan 10 kilómetros de camino en Territorio Mayangna Sauni Bas en Siuna

El Gobierno de Nicaragua por medio del Ministerio de Transporte e Infraestructura realizo la rehabilitación de 10 kilómetros de camino en el territorio indígena Mayangna Sauni Bas, en Siuna, Región Autónoma de la Costa Caribe Norte.

El alcalde de Siuna Otilio Duarte Herrera, llego en nombre del Gobierno de nicaragua a entregar el proyecto concluido a la comunidad de Sikilta donde los comunitarios celebraron que ahora tienen una carretera que les permite tener un mejor acceso a su comunidad.

Dionicio Gutiérrez del consejo de ancianos de Sikilta, dijo que este proyecto de carretera es muy importante para a población indígena, ya que, durante años, ellos tuvieron que caminar largas distancias para salir de su comunidad a realizar alguna gestión al municipio de Siuna y ahora con esta carretera todo se les facilita.

“Queremos agradecer al presidente Daniel ortega y a la vicepresidenta Rosario Murillo por este proyecto que primero se hizo y se haba deteriorado, pero ahora que se reparo tenemos mejores condiciones para movilizarnos de nuestra comunidad hacia Siuna” afirmo el líder indígena.

Ernestina Diaz Palacio, comunitaria de Sikilta, dijo que con esta carretera tienen las condiciones dadas para seguir impulsando el turismo comunitario, pues tienen un rio y lugares sagrados que pueden ser visitados por el turismo loca, regional, nacional e internacional.

Diaz Palacio también agrego que ahora la producción que tienen lo pueden sacar con mayor facilidad y los enfermos que requieren ser llevado al hospital también salen con mayor facilidad.

En tanto el presidente del Territorio Indígena Mayangna Sauni Bas, Justo Taylor, agradeció a las autoridades regionales y municipales ya que, por medio de la gestión del Gobierno Territorial, se ha logrado hacer la reparación de la carretera.

El presidente del territorio dijo que es importante tener accesible por las actividades productivas, el comercio y la salud lo cual es muy importante para 150 familias tener el acceso en buenas condiciones.

The Government of Nicaragua, through the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, carried out the rehabilitation of 10 kilometers of road in the Mayangna Sauni Bas indigenous territory, in Siuna, Autonomous Region of the North Caribbean Coast.

The mayor of Siuna, Otilio Duarte Herrera, arrived on behalf of the Government of Nicaragua to deliver the completed project to the community of Sikilta where the community members celebrated that they now have a road that allows them to have better access to their community.

Dionicio Gutiérrez from the Sikilta elders council, said that this road project is very important for the indigenous population, since, for years, they had to walk long distances to leave their community to carry out some management in the municipality of Siuna and now With this highway everything is easy for them.

«We want to thank President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo for this project that was first carried out and had deteriorated, but now that it has been repaired, we have better conditions to move from our community to Siuna,» said the indigenous leader.

Ernestina Diaz Palacio, a community from Sikilta, said that with this road they have the conditions to continue promoting community tourism, since they have a river and sacred places that can be visited by local, regional, national and international tourism.

Diaz Palacio also added that now the production they have can be taken out more easily and the patients who need to be taken to the hospital also come out more easily.

Meanwhile, the president of the Mayangna Sauni Bas Indigenous Territory, Justo Taylor, thanked the regional and municipal authorities since, through the management of the Territorial Government, it has been possible to repair the road.

The president of the territory said that it is important to have access for productive activities, commerce and health, which is very important for 150 families to have access in good conditions.
