Costa Rica no permitirá el ingreso de nicas por frontera terrestre

Costa Rica informó que este lunes reabrirá la frontera terrestre, sin embargo, limita el acceso para 101 países, dentro de ellos se encuentra Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador, China, República Dominicana, Jamaica y Cuba.

Asimismo, quedarán sin acceso para entrar al país aquellos extranjeros que provengan de países africanos en su gran mayoría.

Solo podrán ingresar por tierra extranjeros de la Unión Europea, Estados Unidos y algunas naciones latinoamericanas como México, Argentina, Chile, Panamá, Portugal, Perú y Uruguay.

Según detalló la Dirección General de Migración y Extranjería (DGME), el filtro obedece a que los turistas que no requieran visa de ingreso serán los primeros en ser admitidos.

Se trata de quienes pertenezcan a los grupos 1 y 2, de acuerdo con las directrices generales de visas de ingreso y permanencia para no residentes.

Quienes requieran visa consular o consultada (grupos 3 y 4) tendrán la posibilidad de visitar Costa Rica cuando los consulados vuelvan a atender tales trámites, en una fecha que el gobierno aún no define.

La DGME recordó que a partir de hoy se elimina la cuarentena obligatoria de 14 días para quienes atravesaban la frontera terrestre hacia Costa Rica.

As detailed by the General Directorate of Migration and Foreigners (DGME), the filter is due to the fact that tourists who do not require an entry visa will be the first to be admitted.

These are those who belong to groups 1 and 2, in accordance with the general guidelines for entry and stay visas for non-residents.

Those who require a consular or consulted visa (groups 3 and 4) will have the possibility of visiting Costa Rica when the consulates return to attend such procedures, on a date that the government has not yet defined.

The DGME recalled that as of today the mandatory 14-day quarantine for those crossing the land border to Costa Rica is eliminated.
