Ejercito de Nicaragua ocupa más de 4 mil pies de madera en municipios del Caribe Norte
Un total de 4,602.034 pies tablar de madera de las especies en veda: Cedro Real, Níspero, Cedro Macho, Laurel, Madero y Manteco, así como Genízaro y Guanacaste, fueron ocupadas por el Batallón Ecológico “BOSAWAS” en municipios del Caribe Norte.
Según nota de prensa la madera era trasladadas de manera ilegal, violentando las leyes establecidas en el país.
Asimismo, se ocuparon tres camiones, una motocicleta y se retuvieron a diez ciudadanos de nacionalidad nicaragüense, vinculados a este ilícito.
La fuerza castrense detalló en nota de prensa que la ocupación se realizó en la semana del 25 de marzo al 17 de mayo de 2021, a través del 4 y 5 comando militar regional, destacamento naval de aguas interiores “Comandante Hilario Sánchez Vásquez” de la fuerza naval y el batallón ecológico “BOSAWAS”.

Durante las ocupaciones de madera, se emplearon fuerzas y medios, quienes cumplieron con las medidas de protección orientadas por el Ministerio de Salud (MINSA), para prevenir el contagio de la COVID-19.

A total of 4,602,034 board feet of wood of the banned species: Cedro Real, Níspero, Cedro Macho, Laurel, Madero and Manteco, as well as Genízaro and Guanacaste, were occupied by the Ecological Battalion “BOSAWAS” in municipalities of the North Caribbean.
According to a press release, the wood was transferred illegally, violating the laws established in the country.
Likewise, three trucks and a motorcycle were seized and ten citizens of Nicaraguan nationality, linked to this crime, were detained.
The military force detailed in a press release that the occupation took place during the week of March 25 to May 17, 2021, through the 4th and 5th Regional Military Command, the Naval Inland Waters Detachment «Comandante Hilario Sánchez Vásquez» of the naval force and the ecological battalion «BOSAWAS».

During the wood occupations, forces and means were used, who complied with the protection measures directed by the Ministry of Health (MINSA), to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
