Autoridades judiciales del Caribe Norte condenaron a seis años de prisión y a 1000 días multas que suman casi 50 mil córdobas por los delitos al medio ambiente y tala de árboles en veda en la Reserva Bosawas.

El judicial Felipe Úbeda Prudo, juez de juicio penal del Juzgado de Distrito Penal de Juicio de Siuna, leyó la sentencia que impone seis años de cárcel a Ramón Francisco Torres Urbina, por delitos contra el medio ambiente en una de las áreas de Bosawas, en el Caribe Norte de Nicaragua.

Úbeda Prudo dio cuatro años de cárcel y 500 días multas ´por haber sido culpable del delito de corte aprovechamiento y veda forestal, previsto y sancionado por el Código Penal y en perjuicio de la Madre tierra, Medio Ambiente y los recursos Naturales, y del Estado de la republica de Nicaragua.

Se condena a dos años y 500 días multas, por las misma consideración anteriores, a Ramón Francisco Torres Urbina, los delitos en concurso real se cumplirán de forma sucesivas en seis años de prisión, que deberá cumplir en el Sistema Penitenciario en Matagalpa, la pena finalizada el 3 de junio del año 2026.

La pena de 500 días multa por el delito de corte y aprovechamiento y veda forestal y la pena de 500 días multa de por el delito de tala en vertientes y pendientes que suman 24mil 930 córdobas cada una que deberá cancelar en las cuentas del Sistema Penitenciario Nacional, en total deberá pagar 49 mil 860.12 córdobas.

Se ordena al restitución y reparación del daño ambiental causado a su costa por ser autor directo  y deberá cumplir con la restitución del daño causado mediante el retiro voluntario del lugar, desmantelar las obras y reparación del daños ambiental causado mediante la siembra de árboles autóctonas de la zona.

Bosawas es uno de las reservas naturales más importantes de Nicaragua y Centroamérica, que requiere de atención inmediata para su protección y conservación. El estado de Nicaragua ha comenzado a judicializar a los depredadores de los bosques en perjuicio de la Madre Tierra.

Judge Sentences Six Years in Prison for Predation in Bosawas

Úbeda Prudo gave four years in prison and 500 days of fines ´ for having been guilty of the crime of logging, logging and forestry closure, provided for and sanctioned by the Penal Code and to the detriment of Mother Earth, the Environment and Natural resources, and the State of the Republic of Nicaragua.

Ramón Francisco Torres Urbina is sentenced to two years and 500 days for fines, for the same reasons as above, crimes in royal competition will be carried out successively in six years in prison, which must be served by the Penitentiary System in Matagalpa, the penalty ended June 3, 2026.
