Crecida del rio Prinzapoka provoca anegación en viviendas

La crecida del rio Prinzapolka, en el Caribe Norte, ha provocado anegación de varias viviendas en la cabecera municipal Alamikamba donde las familias ya están siendo atendidas por el COMUPRED donde se vigila la crecida del rio.

María Prodelina Bob Flores alcaldesa de Prinzapolka, dijo que las comunidades de rio abajo son las más afectadas donde ya la población se ha auto evacuado a casas solidarias, pero de continuar creciendo el rio tomaran la decisión de evacuar a las familias porque están en riesgo de que las viviendas sean arrastradas por las corrientes.

Desde la noche de ayer una comisión del COMUPRED de Prinzapolka salió a atender a las familias rio abajo, donde se aseguro que las familias que están en áreas criticas de riegos puedan ser ubicadas en casas solidarias, pero si continúa subiendo el caudal del rio tendrán que ser evacuados a un lugar seguro.

Las comunidades de Dos Amigos, Tuburus, son las más afectadas y ya hoy en la mañana la población de Alamikamba en la cabecera municipal, esta bajo agua varias familias.

Ahora se están previendo sacar otra comisión hacia estas comunidades por que se deben evacuar a zonas mas seguras para garantizar la vida de la población.

La alcaldesa Prodelina Bob dijo que no hay familias en albergues, sino que están ubicadas en casas solidarias, los del casco urbano están en 12 casas solidarias, y se mantienen en sesión permanente para vigilar el comportamiento del rio para ir evacuando a las familias.

Las autoridades municipales han confirmado que hasta el momento hay 123 familias y 78 viviendas que están anegadas y ya se han ubicado en 12 casas solidarias que están activados en la localidad.

Las lluvias caídas en los últimos días están descargando su caudal sobre el rio Prinzapolka que se esta desbordando de su caudal provocando inundaciones a lo largo de su trayectoria.
