Con mucho éxito se llevó a cabo en Siuna el festival departamental del maíz
Con un colorido desfile de carrozas, el Gobierno de Nicaragua realizó en Siuna, Caribe Norte en articulación con los Gobiernos locales y las instituciones miembros del Sistema Nacional de Consumo y Comercio, el festival departamental del maíz, con protagonistas de toda la región que llevaron diferentes productos elaborados a base del maíz.
María Aidé Diaz, es una emprendedora que llegó desde San Pedro del Norte del municipio de Paiwas, ofreciendo sus productos de güirilas y chicha de maíz, en tanto Marlín Peralta llevó güirilas con cuajada y crema a 30 córdobas, ella es estudiante de la carrera de Ingeniaría Agorfoirestal de URACCAN Las Minas, quien afirma que esta feria es muy buena porque aquí se pueden vender los productos elaborados a base del maíz.
Las reinas del maíz que llevaron las carrozas, llevaban todos los arreglos con las tuzas del maíz, las plantas del maíz, las mazorcas del maíz, pero también de pudo apreciar que algunas reinas llevaban vestuarios elaborados con el grano del maíz, todo para destacar la importancia que tiene el maíz en la vida diaria de todos los nicaragüenses y caribeños.
En las caminatas se pudo ver a las autoridades locales y departamentales acompañar a la población y protagonistas que con mucho amor y alegría caminaron por las calles de la ciudad de Siuna.
En ese sentido el alcalde de Siuna Otilio Duarte Herrera, considera que cada una de las actividades que se realiza en este municipio es gracias a Dios, gracias al comandante Daniel Ortega y la compañera Rosario Murillo, que juegan un papel fundamental en la realización de la feria del maíz y este 26 de septiembre se celebra el dia del maíz en nuestro país.
Por su parte el viceministro del Marena Javier Gutiérrez dijo que solamente con un gobierno sandinista se le puede dar honor a un producto que generar cultura es seguridad alimentaria y es seguridad de la familia y nicaragua es la base de la alimentación.
Asia mismo la directora del Instituto Nicaragüense de Transferencia de Tecnología Agropecuaria INTA, dijo que ellos además de promover la producción de maíz se vienen desarrollando una serie de acciones con los productores para mejorar la producción en todos los rubros.
En tanto el doctor Noel Espinoza secretario departamental del FSLN en el Triángulo Minero dijo que somos hijos del maíz y hoy se trae la alegría de vivir en paz disfrutando con las familias de esta tarde de muchas bendiciones de Dios.
