SINAPRED emite alerta roja para Caribe Norte
El Sistema Nacional de Prevención de Desastres (SINAPRED) emitió este lunes alerta una declaración de Alerta Roja para el Caribe Norte y el Triángulo Minero ante la amenaza que representa el huracán ETA.
De la misma manera emitió alerta amarilla Alerta Amarilla en Jinotega, Nueva Segovia y Chinandega; se mantiene alerta verde para el resto del país.
Se espera que el huracán Eta toque tierra próximo a la ciudad de Bilwi entre el lunes por la noche y la mañana del martes. Posteriormente se dirigirá hacia el Triángulo Minero, donde llegará con la categoría de tormenta tropical, luego a San José de Bocay y parte norte de Wiwilí, Jinotega, saliendo hacia Honduras probablemente el día miércoles.
La declaratoria señala que la intensidad, amplitud del evento y sus efectos, se espera que en los próximos días exista la alta probabilidad de inundaciones repentinas y marejadas ciclónicas que pondrán en alto riesgo la seguridad de las poblaciones del Caribe Norte, Triángulo Minero, Jinotega y Nueva Segovia.
SINAPRED issues red alert for North Caribbean
The National Disaster Prevention System (SINAPRED) issued this Monday a Red Alert declaration for the North Caribbean and the Mining Triangle due to the threat posed by hurricane ETA.
In the same way, it issued a yellow alert Yellow Alert in Jinotega, Nueva Segovia and Chinandega; green alert remains for the rest of the country.
Hurricane Eta is expected to make landfall near the city of Bilwi between Monday night and Tuesday morning. Later it will go to the Mining Triangle, where it will arrive with the category of tropical storm, then to San José de Bocay and the northern part of Wiwilí, Jinotega, leaving for Honduras probably on Wednesday.
The declaration indicates that the intensity, amplitude of the event and its effects, it is expected that in the coming days there will be a high probability of flash floods and storm surges that will put the safety of the populations of the North Caribbean, the Mining Triangle, Jinotega and New Segovia.
