Eta es un huracán cada vez más fuerte y está cada vez más cerca de Bilwi

A las 9 de la mañana hora de Nicaragua, el Centro Nacional de Huracanes (NHC) ha advertido que espera Eta se convierta en un gran huracán muy pronto.

Por su parte, Ineter informó que el Huracán ETA ya es de categoría 2 en la escala de Saffir-Simpson. “Se continúa fortaleciendo rápidamente, presenta vientos máximos sostenidos de 175 kilómetros por hora”, agrega.

“Con la información disponible hasta el momento, se pronostica que entre a tierra en suelo nicaragüense entre hoy lunes por la Noche y las primeras horas del martes, a unos 17 km al sur de Bilwi; la ubicación exacta del posible impacto puede continuar variando a medida que el Huracán avance”, registra Ineter.

“Previo a que toque tierra en nuestro país, se espera que se registre un aumento en las marejadas, lo que reducirá el desagüe natural de los ríos Coco, Wawa, Prinzapolka y Rio Grande en el Mar Caribe. Por lo tanto, estos podrán subir de nivel en sus tramos más bajos, lo que provocaría inundaciones”, advierte Ineter.

A las 9:30 de la mañana, informa Ineter, el centro se localiza a unos 203 km al Noreste de Bilwi, manteniendo su movimiento hacia el Oeste y confirma que el meteoro ha disminuido su velocidad de traslación a 15 kilómetros por hora

“La trayectoria pronosticada indica que, durante el martes luego de entrar a tierra, seguirá con un rumbo probable hacía el triángulo minero con categoría de Tormenta Tropical; y que es probable que continúe el miércoles como Depresión Tropical hacia San José de Bocay y la parte norte de Wiwili de Jinotega, saliendo hacia Honduras ese día”, concluye Ineter.

Los datos de aviones y satélites de reconocimiento indican que Eta se fortalece rápidamente. Los vientos máximos sostenidos han aumentado a cerca de 175 kilómetros con ráfagas más fuertes y se debe continuar fortaleciendo a lo largo de todo el lunes hasta que penetre en tierras nicaragüenses. El debilitamiento comenzará después el sistema se mueva tierra adentro, dice el boletín del NHC, con sede en Miami, Estados Unidos.

El boletín advierte que se pronostica un lento giro hacia el oeste-suroeste “para esta tarde y continuará hasta el martes”. Se espera el centro de Eta se acerque a la a la costa noreste de Nicaragua dentro de unas horas y toque tierra en algún punto entre Karawala y Krukira, en la costa norte del Caribe Norte.

El NHC prevé “que el centro de Eta se mueva más hacia el interior norte de Nicaragua hasta el miércoles por la noche”.

Los vientos con fuerza de huracán se extienden hasta 35 kilómetros alrededor de su centro  y los vientos con fuerza de tormenta tropical se extienden hasta 185 kilómetros. La presión central mínima estimada es 962 mb (28,41 pulgadas).

“With the information available so far, it is forecast that it will land on Nicaraguan soil between Monday night and the early hours of Tuesday, about 17 km south of Bilwi; the exact location of the possible impact may continue to vary as the Hurricane advances ”, registers Ineter.

“Before it makes landfall in our country, it is expected that there will be an increase in the storm surge, which will reduce the natural drainage of the Coco, Wawa, Prinzapolka and Rio Grande rivers in the Caribbean Sea. Therefore, these may rise in level in their lower sections, which would cause floods, «warns Ineter.

“The forecasted trajectory indicates that, during Tuesday after entering land, it will continue with a probable course towards the mining triangle with the category of Tropical Storm; and that it is likely that it will continue on Wednesday as a Tropical Depression towards San José de Bocay and the northern part of Wiwili de Jinotega, leaving for Honduras that day ”, concludes Ineter.

Data from reconnaissance planes and satellites indicate that Eta is rapidly strengthening. The maximum sustained winds have increased to about 175 kilometers with stronger gusts and should continue to strengthen throughout all of Monday until it penetrates Nicaraguan lands. The weakening will begin after the system moves inland, says the newsletter of the NHC, based in Miami, United States.

The bulletin warns that a slow turn to the west-southwest is forecast «for this afternoon and will continue through Tuesday.» The center of Eta is expected to approach the northeast coast of Nicaragua within a few hours and make landfall somewhere between Karawala and Krukira, on the north coast of the North Caribbean.

The NHC anticipates «that the center of Eta will move further into the northern interior of Nicaragua until Wednesday night.»

Hurricane-force winds extend up to 35 kilometers around its center and tropical-storm-force winds extend up to 185 kilometers. The estimated minimum central pressure is 962 mb (28.41 inches).
