San Pedro será el primer barrio de Bluefields en recibir agua potable

El proyecto “Mejoramiento y Ampliación de Agua Potable” que garantizará el vital líquido en cantidad y calidad las 24 horas del día a toda la población del casco urbano del municipio de Bluefields, ya está listo.

El Alcalde del Municipio de Bluefields, Gustavo Castro Jo, visitó junto a autoridades municipales, regionales, el Delegado de la Presidencia para la Costa Caribe Sur, Johnny Hodgson, Empresa Ejecutora y el Delegado de la Empresa Nicaragüense de Acueductos y Alcantarillado (ENACAL),. El recorrido por la planta principal ubicada en el cerro del barrio San Mateo (detrás de la Iglesia Cree), se realizó el lunes 28 de diciembre, donde se destacó los niveles de avance en la etapa final del proyecto que vendrá a solventar el problema de abastecimiento de agua potable a las más de 14 mil viviendas del casco urbano de Bluefields.

«El Alcalde, Cro. Gustavo Castro Jo, manifestó que el 29 de diciembre el primer barrio que llegará el agua potable será San Pedro, después le seguirán Fátima, Santa Rosa hasta completar el 100% en todas las viviendas.

Dijo que en la visita la empresa ejecutora del proyecto realizó las pruebas en la planta principal del proceso de captación del agua por medio de las tuberías que vienen desde caño Silva al tanque en el Arenal y luego hasta la planta principal donde se hará todo el proceso de purificación para que llegue en cantidad y calidad a los hogares de Bluefields.

“El agua que llegará el 30 al barrio San Pedro no será para consumo humano porque la misma estará saliendo sucia por un periodo de prueba hasta que se laven los tubos que conducen el agua desde caño Silva, para que los pobladores estén enterados que para mientras solo podrán hacer uso del agua para otras actividades menos para consumo, enunció el alcalde Castro”.

La planta de tratamiento tiene una capacidad de procesar 265 litros de agua por segundos que suficiente para abastecer las 24 horas del día a toda la población del casco urbano de Bluefields.
