La remodelación que se hizo en el Carlos Centeno de Siuna, deja prácticamente un nuevo hospital que vendrá a suplir las necesidades básicas de una población superior a las 100 mil personas en esa zona del Caribe Norte de Nicaragua.

«La salud no es asunto de un momento, es permanente y el desarrollo de un pueblo se valora en la salud y en la educación», dijo el padre Carlos Zúniga, párroco de la Iglesia católica de Siuna, quien bendijo las instalaciones del hospital en el acto de entrega de ese centro.

El doctor Aldo Chavarría Centeno agradeció al pueblo y Gobierno de Taiwán y al Gobierno de Nicaragua por apoyar a la población de Siuna y asegurar un hospital con la calidad y condiciones que se merece este pueblo del Caribe.

El embajador de Taiwán en Nicaragua Jaime Ching Wu, dijo que el Gobierno de Unidad y Reconciliación Nacional que dirige el comandante Daniel Ortega y la compañera Rosario Murillo están restituyendo el derecho a la salud en Nicaragua con la construcción de puestos de salud y hospitales, y por eso está contento de acompañar esos esfuerzos.

«En los últimos meses hemos acompañado al Minsa para ejecutar los proyectos de rehabilitación de casa materna y centros de salud y casa de atención a personas con diferentes capacidades, y se está viajando en todos los rincones de Nicaragua, conociendo y amando más a Nicaragua, porque cuenta con muchos recursos humanos muy trabajadores», dijo el embajador Wu.

Refirió que «somos testigos de la atención a los más pobres, en eso somos testigos del avance y el desarrollo que ha tenido Nicaragua».

El doctor Enrique Beteta Acevedo, viceministro de Salud, dijo que el 80 por ciento de la población de Siuna son campesinos, «soñadores de por vida y ese 80 por ciento merece tener condiciones dignas para recibir una atención de salud».

“Merece condiciones humanas, consulta externa con cuatro consultorios, una área  de emergencias con un área de choque y el mejoramiento del sistema eléctrico”, refirió el doctor Beteta Acevedo.

El viceministro dijo que en el 2007, cuando se comenzó con la brigada  se encontró sólo con un especialista en Siuna y ahora se ha enviado y preparado desde el Gobierno 37 especialistas que con amor y cariño están atendiendo a la población de Siuna.

«Se va a disfrutar de una buena consulta externa, quirófanos y ahora hay exámenes que tiene este hospital que son parte de lo que la Revolución entrega y debe cuidarse para mantener una buena atención, hay paredes, inodoros, hay que cuidar este bien», destacó.

José Luis Solórzano, delegado del Gobierno en el Triángulo Minero, dijo que en unión con el pueblo llegaron a celebrar esta gran victoria porque se materializa un sueño para todos.

“Nos sentimos orgullosos y contentos por la presencia del embajador de Taiwán y le agradecemos por el apoyo en todo el país, continuamos celebrando 13 años llevando alegría y felicidad a nuestro pueblo con el comandante Daniel y la compañera Rosario y la salud seguirá siendo una prioridad del gobierno sandinista”.

Recordó las dificultades que había en el sistema de salud con gobiernos anteriores, «privatizada completamente y en Las Minas teníamos pequeños centros de salud con camas, teníamos pequeños caramancheles esa era la realidad de Las Minas y la primera acción fue decretar la salud gratuita para el pueblo y materializar ampliando las unidades hospitalarias en Las Minas».

El delegado del Gobierno dijo que se han construido 18 hospitales en todo el país. «Daniel ha hecho todas estas obras para nosotros, la compañera Rosario y el Frente Sandinista», dijo.

Recordó que tenían centros de salud sin personal y aquí solo había un solo médico especialista en Siuna.

“Hoy en todo el departamento tenemos 37 especialistas y eso nos llena de orgullo cuando hemos avanzado ahora los médicos generales y enfermeras eso ha crecido en Las Minas y en toda Nicaragua y allí el llamado a las familias a cuidar y valorar estas obras”, comentó Solórzano.
