Si no hay condiciones para jugar en Paiwas Serie del Caribe podría concluir en Managua

Las Intensas lluvias sigue afectando los campos de juego en Paiwas, municipio donde se desarrolla la 70 Serie de Béisbol del Caribe.

Este lunes 19 de abril se inició con el partido de la final. La representación de Bluefields se enfrentaba al equipo de Corn Island, quien ganaba con marcador de 3-1 (a favor de los isleños), en el cierre del tercer episodio empezó a llover, lo que obligó que se suspender el juego.

Por ello el Comité Organizador extendió una carta de solicitud al titular de FENIBA, donde explican que si hoy martes no hay condiciones para que se concluya con el juego de la final, entonces que el juego se traslade a Managua.

Se conoció que, si el juego de la final se traslade a Managua, se jugaría el miércoles 21 de abril en el estadio Jackie Robinson.

Si los juegos se trasladan a Managua, sería la tercera vez que una Serie del Caribe se traslada a Managua, por fuerza mayor.

La primera vez fue en el año 1969 (Bluefields). El más reciente fue en el 2010 (Bonanza), en que el Comité Organizador se vio obligados a hacer el movimiento por alteración y acciones antideportivas de la afición en Bonanza, se logró concluir donde el equipo Corn Island se coronó campeón.

En el 2014 fue la última vez que Corn Island fueron campeones y Bluefields en el 2015 en Kukra Hill. En series cinco veces Corn Island han logrado ser campeones mientras que Bluefields 26 veces.

El tercer lugar de esta serie fue para la selección de Karawala, que ganó a los locales de Paiwas con marcador de 8-3.
