El coordinador del Gobierno Regional Carlos Alemán Cuningham, el alcalde de Puerto Cabezas Henry Herman Hernández y el Secretario Político Departamental del FSLN Yamil Zapata Webb, realizaron un recorrido, por las zonas afectadas por las lluvias que dejo el paso de la tormenta tropical número siete por el Caribe de Nicaragua.

El Coordinador del Gobierno Regional, Alemán Cuningham dijo que desde el COREPRED se está realizando un monitoreo constante con los fenómenos naturales y hay un plan de atención a las familias vulnerables, por ello en articulacion con el Gobierno Municipal, se articulan esfuerzo para la atención a las familias y mitigación de los daños a la infraestructura.

El Gerente General de la Alcaldía de Puerto Cabezas Earsly Patterson Garcia, dijo que desde ayer realizaron un monitoreo en los puntos críticos como el sector de poza azul, lanckrrek, el puente Nipco como las áreas más afectadas.

Los causes grandes fueron despejados en el verano en articulacion con el Gobierno regional y desde las cinco de la mañana un equipo del Gobierno Regional y el gobierno Municipal realizan el diagnóstico para determinar los daños y la cantidad de viviendas anegadas en la ciudad.

Patterson Garcia dijo que las zonas más afectadas fueron el barrio el Cocal, a la orilla del rio, allí se llevó el puente que cruza el balneario, el barrio poza azul, el lanckrek, parte del barrio San Judas y el puente Nipco son las áreas más afectadas y han sido las áreas más afectadas ene le municipio.

El alcalde de Puerto Cabezas, Henry Herman Hernández, en el recorrido hecho por las zonas afectadas logro determinar que lo que necesitan de forma urgente los pobladores es un almuerzo por que no van a poder tener que comer.

Anuncio que una buena parte de la población requieren de alimentos para poder suplir sus necesidades, por lo que buscara articularse con el resto de instancias regionales para buscar alternativas.

El Sistema Nacional de Prevención, Mitigación y Atención de Desastres (SINAPRED), dio a conocer que las lluvias causaron afectaciones en 800 viviendas anegadas, 24 viviendas inundadas incluyendo 1 iglesia, 1 vivienda en riego de caerse, 181 pozos contaminados y 120 letrinas inundadas.
