A total of 44 officials of the Ministry of the Interior were promoted to the immediate superior level and were awarded medals and recognition diplomas in Bilwi and Bluefields, in the South Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua.

In Bluefields, 28 officials of the Nicaraguan Fire Department, Migration and Foreigners and the National Penitentiary System were promoted, in recognition of their outstanding work.

«This commits us of course to continue doing things well, to serve the institution with love, I urge others to continue working hard,» said one of the promoters.

Meanwhile, in Bilwi, 9 firefighters and Migration and Foreigners officials were promoted, three diplomas and four «Marcos Antonio Somarriba» medals were awarded in recognition of outstanding work by colleagues.

In Bilwi the act was chaired by Miguel Abella, the FSLN municipal political secretary in Puerto Cabezas; Rafael Ochoa, delegate of the Ministry of the Interior; Major Commissioner Oswaldo Pérez Woo, Chief of the National Police in the North Caribbean and Commander Juan Cantillano, Chief of Firefighters in the North Caribbean.

Rafael Ochoa, delegate of the Interior, said that they provided 23,880 different services to different sectors in the delegation of the Ministry of the Interior to those retired from the Patriotic Military Service, former soldiers of the Army of Nicaragua and the Ministry of the Interior, Non-profit associations, coordination and Inter-institutional accompaniment, attention to prisoners and relatives of prisoners and attention to forest fires among others.

Un total de 44 funcionarios del Ministerio de Gobernación fueron ascendidos al grado inmediato superior y les entregaron medallas y diplomas de reconocimiento en Bilwi y Bluefields, en la Costa Caribe Sur de Nicaragua.

En Bluefields fueron ascendidos 28 funcionarios del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Nicaragua, Migración y Extranjería y del Sistema Penitenciario Nacional, como un reconocimiento a su destacada labor.

«Esto nos compromete por supuesto a continuar haciendo las cosas bien, a servir con amor a la institución, a los demás les insto a seguir trabajando arduamente», observó uno de los promovidos.

En tanto, en Bilwi, fueron ascendidos 9  bomberos y funcionarios de Migración y Extranjería, se entregaron tres  diplomas y cuatro  medallas «Marcos Antonio Somarriba» en reconocimiento a labores destacadas de compañeros y compañeras.

En Bilwi el acto fue presidido por Miguel Abella, secretario político municipal del FSLN en Puerto Cabezas; Rafael Ochoa, delegado del Ministerio de Gobernación; el comisionado mayor Oswaldo Pérez Woo, jefe de la Policía Nacional en el Caribe Norte y el comandante Juan Cantillano, jefe de los Bomberos en el Caribe Norte.

Rafael Ochoa, delegado de Gobernación, dijo que brindaron 23,880 atenciones diversas a diferentes sectores en la delegación del Ministerio de Gobernación a los retirados del Servicio Militar Patriótico, ex militares del Ejército de Nicaragua  y del Ministerio de Gobernación, Asociaciones sin fines de lucro, coordinación y acompañamiento Interinstitucional, atención a reos y familiares de reos y atención a incendios forestales entre otros.
