Cementerios limpios en el Caribe

Los cementerios de los municipios de la Costa Caribe están limpios y seguros para que todas las familias puedan llegar a depositar su ofrenda floral y recordar a sus difuntos. En este día, los gobiernos municipales y regionales han articulado esfuerzos para asegurar un día de amor, paz y de oración al altísimo.

Este sábado 2 de noviembre fue entregada a las familias de Siuna una obra construida en el cementerio Monte de Sinaí, donde fue inaugurada en presencia de las autoridades políticas departamentales y municipales.

Otilio Duarte Herrera, alcalde de Siuna, dijo que la capilla ecuménica servirá para que todas las denominaciones religiosas la puedan usar, pero este día fue inaugurado con una misa que fue ´presidida por el padre Carlos Zúniga.

Los fieles católicos celebraron la inauguración con una misa, donde por primera vez se pudo ver al político departamental José Luis Solórzano recolectar la ofrenda junto con el alcalde Otilio Duarte Herrera, un gesto de humildad de las autoridades locales y departamentales.

El presbítero Carlos Zúniga, párroco de la catedral protémpore de Siuna, Nuestro Señor de Esquipulas, dijo que esa es una capilla al servicio de la comunidad, no de la iglesia.

El religioso dijo que el alcalde está agradeciendo  a los protagonistas «pero es al revés, tenemos que agradecer al alcalde Otilio Duarte por ese gesto de apoyar con esta obra dedicada a la comunidad de Siuna, porque le dio prioridad a este proyecto que hoy es una realidad».

En el Caribe Norte los alcaldes de Siuna, Otilio Duarte Herrera; de Rosita, Fermín Romero Olivero y de Bonanza, Alexander Alvarado Lam han desarrollado importantes inversiones en los cementerios locales, cumpliendo con la orientación del presidente Daniel Ortega y la vice presidenta Rosario Murillo de asegurar un campo santo limpio y seguro.

Pero además de asegurar la limpieza y seguridad con la presencia de la Policía Nacional en los campos santos, también llevaron ofrenda floral a los Héroes y Mártires de la Revolución.

Clean cemeteries in the Caribbean

The presbyter Carlos Zúniga, pastor of Siuna’s prototype cathedral, Our Lord of Esquipulas, said that this is a chapel at the service of the community, not the church.

The religious said that the mayor is thanking the protagonists «but it is the other way around, we have to thank Mayor Otilio Duarte for that gesture of supporting this work dedicated to the community of Siuna, because he gave priority to this project that today is a reality».
