Pedro Joaquín Téllez Medrano, el mejor técnico en electricidad y refrigeración industrial en Puerto Cabezas, fue educado por las hermanas religiosas de la iglesia Católica en esa zona de Caribe Norte

Téllez Medrano tiene 73 años, es originario de Siuna pero vive desde hace muchos años en la ciudad de Bilwi, Puerto Cabezas.

Es un excelente técnico eléctrico y en refrigeración industrial, pero ya se ha retirado por su edad.

Téllez Medrano, tiene un gran parecido con el cronista deportivo Edgar Tijerino, con quien lo han confundido en varias ocasiones en Managua.

Aunque ya está retirado de los trabajos eléctricos y refrigeración, su hijo se encarga de trabajar el taller eléctrico automotriz, y él se ha dedicado a realizar pequeños trabajos de refrigeración y algunos trabajos de amigos que llegan en busca de sus servicios.

Vive en la carretera hacia Lamlaya, allí tiene su casa de habitación donde vive con su esposa y sus nietos que son su adoración, a un lado está el taller eléctrico que maneja uno de sus tres hijos.

Pedro Joaquín Téllez Medrano fue criado por la misión católica, ellos le dieron el estudio y lo mandaron a Bonanza a estudiar, allí estudió electricidad, refrigeración, radio técnico y electricidad automotriz.

Pedro Joaquín recuerda que su papá murió cuando era pequeño «y en aquellos tiempos los pares te decían te voy a regalar y te firmaban una carta entonces con la muerte de ellos te entregaban donde ellos habían decidido y habían firmado».

“Entonces me entregaron al convento ahí me criaron las monjas carmelitas Puerto Cabezas, aquí me criaron las monjas y a la edad de 16 años me mandaron a Bonanza a estudiar”, comentó Téllez Medrano.

Pedro Joaquín Téllez, estudió 10 años en Bonanza, y no es que había las mejores escuelas allá, pues las clases las sacó por correspondencia como muchos costeños hicieron en aquella época que no había escuelas técnicas ni universidades para profesionalizarse.

Téllez Medrano es padre de 8 hijos, dos con su primer matrimonio y seis con su segundo matrimonio.

Frank Téllez es uno de sus hijos y heredó de su padre la profesión de la electricidad automotriz, él es quien dirige el taller eléctrico en Puerto Cabezas.

El taller eléctrico de la familia Téllez es un referente de gran relevancia en Puerto Cabezas pues es considerado el mejor que tiene la ciudad.
