Estelí hizo pesar su papel de local y usurpó por una noche el sobrenombre de “La Maquinaria” para hacer lucir su músculo ofensivo y derrotar 16-6 a los Dantos en 8 episodios en el inicio de la serie semifinal del Pomares 2020.

El arranque de juego no presagiaba nada bueno para el zurdo Elías Gutiérrez. Los Dantos sacaron provecho a un error del inicialista Moisés Flores para tomar ventaja 2×0 en el propio primer inning. Omar Mendoza ligó imparable, después de 1 out, Ofilio Castro conectó hit colocando hombres en las esquinas.

Le siguió Leonardo Ortiz con rola a la primera base, Flores tiró a la intermedia buscando iniciar una jugada de doble play pero su lance fue malo enviando la pelota a los jardines permitiendo así a Mendoza anotar la primera. Castro avanzó en la jugada a la tercera y fue remolcado por fly de sacrificio de Benjamín Alegría.

ESTELÍ RESPONDE DE INMEDIATO

Estelí no se amilanó a la temprana desventaja y su engranaje ofensivo lució preciso ante el estelar de los Dantos, Jorge Bucardo. Hit de Darwin Sevilla y boleto a Omar Obregón permitieron a Estelí colocar rápidamente hombres en primera y segunda. Hits consecutivos de Moisés y Ramón Flores empujaron las careras 1 y 2 que nivelaron el marcador.

Las bases congestionaron con boleto a Jilton Calderón, después de 2 out y cuando parecía que Bucardo saldría sin mayor daño, Jacksell Mairena descargó sencillo al izquierdo para remolcar a los Flores con las carera 3 y 4, fue una respuesta rápida y demoledora de los norteños que mandaron a desfilar toda su novena en dicha bateada.

Pero el castigo continuó sobre Bucardo. En el segundo inning Estelí anotó la quinta, doble de Moisés Flores más hit impulsador de Ramón Flores. Tres más se anotador en la conclusión del tercer inning. Doble de Jilton Calderón, infield hit de Brayan Trujillo colocaron hombres en las esquinas y serían remolcados por triple de Jacksell Mairena para colocar el score 7-2 y explotar finalmente a Bucardo. Con Ramón Flores corriendo en primera, Luis Alen conectó largo doble para remolcar la octava carrera.

En el cierre del cuarto Shendell Benard recibiría castigo por parte de la ofensiva norteña. Ramón Flores recibió golpe, Luis Alen volvió a ligar doble remolcando a Flores. Jilton Calderón conectó doble remolcando a Alen con la novena, la décima llegó en las piernas de Calderón remolcado por Mairena con hit al derecho. José Gadea recibió boleto por el zurdo Oscar Rayo y le siguió Darwin Sevilla con hit al right para remolcar a Mairena con la 11.

En el inicio del quinto, Sandy Bermúdez conectó cuadrangular con Omar Mendoza a bordo para descontar par de anotaciones y poner el score 11-4. En la parte del séptimo los capitalinos se acercaron con par de carreras más. Con hombres en las esquinas, Leonardo Ortiz conectó elevado de sacrificio al central impulsando a Bermúdez. Triple de Benjamín Alegría impulsó desde primera a Ofilio Castro.

Los locales sentenciaron el partido en el cierre del octavo. Aperturó Ramón Flores con hit ante Ariel Downs, Luis Alen fue golpeado, boleto a Jilton Calderón congestionó las almohadillas. Nolan Cruz recibió boleto, anotando Flores la 12. Mairena conectó su quinto imparable de la noche remolcando las carreras 13 y 14. Boleto a José Gadea volvió a llenar las bases, boleto a Darwin Sevilla impulsó de caballito a Cruz, Omar Obregón con hit al derecho impulsó a Mairena con la carrera 16 que concretó el nocaut.

Estelí descargó 19 inatrapables, destacando Jacksell Mairena que terminó la noche de 5-5 con 7 remolques, Ramón Flores de 4-4 con 2 impulsadas, Darwin Sevilla de 4-3 y 2 impulsadas.

El juego lo ganó Elías Gutiérrez que caminó 6 episodios de 8 ponches, 4 hits, y 4 carreras limpias permitidas. Jorge Bucardo fue el derrotado al permitir 7 carreras, 9 hits en 2 episodios de labor. Es la cuarta semifinal desde 2009 en la que Estelí inicia ganando, de las tres anteriores, en dos avanzó a la final.

El segundo juego de la serie se disputará el sábado 18 a las 4 de la tarde en el Estadio Nacional.

Estelí defeated the Danto and hits first in the semifinals

Estelí weighed in on his home role and usurped the nickname “La Maquinaria” for one night to show off his offensive muscle and defeat the Dantos 16-6 in 8 episodes at the start of the Pomares 2020 semifinal series.

With Ramón Flores running in first, Luis Alen hit a long double to tow the eighth run.

At the close of the fourth, Shendell Benard would receive punishment from the northern offensive. Ramón Flores received a blow, Luis Alen returned to bind double towing Flores. The locals sentenced the game at the end of the eighth. Ramón Flores opened with a hit against Ariel Downs, Luis Alen was hit, ticket to Jilton Calderón congested the pads. Nolan Cruz received a ticket, Flores scored the 12. Mairena connected his fifth hit of the night towing races 13 and 14. The game was won by Elías Gutiérrez who walked 6 episodes of 8 strikeouts, 4 hits, and 4 earned runs allowed. Jorge Bucardo was defeated by allowing 7 runs, 9 hits in 2 labor episodes. It is the fourth semifinal since 2009 in which Estelí starts winning, out of the previous three, in two he advanced to the final.

The second game in the series will be played on Saturday 18 at 4 in the afternoon at the National Stadium.
