Dos indígenas Mayangnas resultaron heridos en un enfrentamiento registrado la tarde de este sábado en Betlehem, jurisdicción de Bonanza, Región Autónoma de la Costa Caribe Norte por conflicto de tierras.

Los mestizos que están en el sector de la comunidad del Tesoro aducen que ellos han comprado esas tierras, sin embargo, la ley 445 prohíbe la venta de tierras indígenas.

El enfrentamiento entre indígenas y mestizos se registró a las 2:00 pm en la comunidad Betlehen donde resultaron heridos Casinio Charly Taylor de 30 años y Félix López Bruno, de 27 años, cuando intentaban desalojar a las familias que están asentadas en su territorio.

La invasión de colonos en territorios indígenas es uno de los problemas complejos que tiene el Caribe de Nicaragua.

Se registran tomas de tierras ilegales hasta venta ilegal que han realizado los mismos indígenas a personas que llegan en busca de tierras.

Mucha gente que llega del interior del país y de la misma región, creen que están pagando por comparar las tierras indígenas, lo cual no es así, pues la ley 445 establece que las tierras indígenas no se pueden vender.

Y cuando se dan estos conflictos muchos de los afectados dicen que compararon la tierra o el área que les dieron los líderes indígenas miskitos y Mayangnas, pero lo que están haciéndole es rentándoles las tierras, es lo unico que pueden hacer, pero no solo es con la venia de los líderes, ya que hay una asamblea comunitaria y es toda la comunidad que tiene que estar de acuerdo con la renta de la tierra a una tercera persona que no es de la comunidad.

Una vez más hacemos un llamado a los campesinos que llegan del interior del país y de esta misma región caribeña, que se abstengan de pagar por las tierras, por eso ven precios que son irrisorios, y por eso se van de boca, pues creen que están comparando la tierra, cuando lo que les dan es únicamente el derecho de posesión y renta por que esas tierras no se pueden vender.

Two injured in conflict over indigenous lands in Bonanza

Two Mayangnas Indians were injured in a confrontation recorded on Saturday afternoon in Betlehem, jurisdiction of Bonanza, Autonomous Region of the North Caribbean Coast due to land conflict.

The mestizos who are in the sector of the Treasury community argue that they have bought those lands, however, Law 445 prohibits the sale of indigenous lands.

The confrontation between indigenous and mestizos was recorded at 2:00 pm in the Betlehen community where Casinio Charly Taylor, 30, and Felix López Bruno, 27, were injured when they tried to evict the families that are settled in their territory.

The invasion of settlers in indigenous territories is one of the complex problems that the Caribbean of Nicaragua has.

Illegal land seizures are registered until illegal sale by the same indigenous people to people who arrive in search of land.

Many people who arrive from the interior of the country and from the same region, believe that they are paying to compare indigenous lands, which is not the case, since Law 445 states that indigenous lands cannot be sold.

And when these conflicts occur, many of those affected say that they compared the land or area given to them by the Miskito and Mayangnas indigenous leaders, but what they are doing is renting the land, it is the only thing they can do, but it is not only with it came from the leaders, since there is a community assembly and it is the whole community that has to agree with the rent of the land to a third person who is not from the community.

Once again we call on the peasants who arrive from the interior of the country and from the same Caribbean region, who refrain from paying for the land, that is why they see prices that are ridiculous, and that is why they go by mouth, because they believe that They are comparing the land, when what they are given.
